Price Protection Proof?

Hey guys,

I spoke to my dealers finance manager. He said when he looks up my order it shows the new price. Something about the 2022 version always being this price. I tried to explain to him that when I ordered in October, it showed the car $2000 less. He said if I have proof of the previous price that would really help him so he could talk to his rep and get it applied.
Does anyone have a screenshot or something of the price of a Premium RWD Extended range?

There are many, many threads discussing price protection, including the letter to the dealer telling them where to look it up.

Yes, I sent them all the information but no luck so far.

RickMachE - I think the issue is the "many, many threads" part. I also looked and couldn't find them. Can you help narrow it down?

Oh that finance manager is a POS. Did you get an email from Ford saying that your order was being converted to a 2022 MY? If so, they were offering folks in this situation $750 for inconvenience. I ordered 12/3 and and my car was always a 2022 and on 12/8, the cost of my car went up $2000. Ford DOES have a program called Price Protection that aids customers with MSRP increases and HOW your finance minion has no idea is disingenuous. I'll post a few documents that might help to with his memory problems.

I forgot to add, that your "price level" as seen on the order sheet and in the system at Ford should show the current price code of "220" that they are saying was always the price. Mine went from 215 ---->220. We are price protected to the price level when our order was accepted. Now you ordered before me, so I am not sure if you were a 215 or lower.

Strange, my price level is shown as 225. Ordered on 10/30 and accepted on 11/01. Updated order around 11/17 to add extended range.

I ordered 10/21 and my price level is 215. I guess your 11/17 updated order changed you to a 225?

Yes, but what was your price code when the car was ordered? Let me guess, your dealer didn't give you a copy of your order sheet?

Yup, me either. My sales person tipped the hand by telling me in a text message that the "guy" that was supposed to send them to buyers, "is no longer with Ford" and then the Finance person said that I NEEDED to provide the sales sheet, to honor PP.. When I laughed at that, I left that meeting then emailed the Dealer owner and within a couple of days I got a call from the GM of the dealership and he shared that they don't provide order sheets on EVs, being in Silicon Valley, that made sense... He told me that he would call their Ford Rep to get guidance oh how to honor PP for my transaction.. a week or so later, he said texted me saying that they would honor PP for me. Today is my alleged build day, so this will all be put to test in a month or so. 🤞
