Ok, so on Tues, I got the OTA update for the Conector overheating fix (22S41 and 22S29).
Obviously it does something to prevent or limit damage (lots of threads discussing this).
I have a '21 Oct/Nov build (build 2). I am in the Ford Early Access program, but I think since the recall fix is rolling out generally, I don't think that matters (though I could be wrong).
For me, this gave me three things I'm really excited about...
#1 by far is the faster DCFC charging over 80%! I was not expecting this. I went to EA today and it was giving me ~40kW at 85% and ~26kW over 90-92%.
#2 is an annoyance. The door lock buttons work now on the first press. Previously, I had to press it between one and forty times. It now works first try every time. Woohoo!
#3 Apple Maps planning with EV charging. I just got the notification when I opened Apple Maps today (this could be from 2.8.3 or it could be from the recall OTA â I don't use Apple Maps often enough to know)
