Well aware of private offers for the F150L group but the MME - are you saying that since the models are changing for 2023, Ford will not price protect a 2022 order ?

Well they better get me a Select with C/T option that I placed an order for with their new Standard trim plus what ever needs to be replaced with at the 2022 price or they will get heck from me.
Correct, you are starting over with a 2023 order and get a rebate to make it similar to current '22 prices.

Price protection doesn't apply to '22 to '23 conversion. The price difference will be handled by the private offer (rebate). Price protection is for when the invoice price changes mid-model-year rather than a new model year.
That's interesting, I totally thought people were using price protection that got pushed from a '21 to a '22.

Will I lose the incentives and low rate from 2022 if I am forced to change over to a 2023 ?

Probably, that's how it worked for me last year. Since it will be a 2023 order your new incentive protection date will be Mon Aug 29th 2022 and you will get current rates. Dealers may have some override power there but your protection date will show up as the date of the '23 order conversion in the computer.

That is a shame they are stripping so many options on the Select, and adding a price increase.
Technically the base Select is getting better, but there is no longer a Comfort/Tech package which provides a nice compromise between it and a Premium. It's the folks with this package on order who haven't been scheduled yet who are salty.

We ordered August 5th of 2021. Our dealer honored the August price when we received our 2022 on May 12 of this year. Premium, AWD, ER. in DMG, out the door at $65,863.

The sales manager offered us 5K over purchase price when we received our car! NO Way after waiting 10 months.

Our son has ordered a new Audi ETron SUV GT at around $90K, the dealer offered him 15K more on his trade in than his purchase price back in 2000. Crazy!

Tesla has been increasing their prices frequently since we took delivery of our MY in 3/31. It's now $10k more similarly spec'd.

Ford for all EVs is going to no haggle mode like Tesla. You gotta wait for discounts like you would a TV on Black Friday now
I think they said they “want to” go with no haggle fixed pricing. Which of course benefits the manufacturer.

But “no haggle” doesn’t mean “no discount.” It’s just the same rebate or whatever for everyone.

I think the no haggle thing is silly. New vehicle selling price is usually just one piece of the puzzle. Add ons, financing, and trade ins can make as big of a difference or more……… and all are a haggle game.

I think Ford can only raise prices so much before people realize they can get more luxurious or higher performing vehicles for the same price or not much more.

Soon the Mach E will be competing with vehicles like the BMX iX50, Upcoming Porsche Macan EV, Lyriq, Rivian R1S, and others.

Except that EVERYONE is raising their prices too.

This is the benefit of a high MSRP. They can test the market.

Right now, all Mach Es are presold at full price with a 6-9 month waiting list.

Until Ford has inventory cars sitting on lots for months…… no need to lower the price.

And if they do….. rebates show up.

Plus all the cars you listed are significantly more expensive. Both starting price and loaded up.

How is it getting better? My ‘22 Select AWD comes with Bluecruise for 3 years. Heated seats and steering wheel, folding mirriors, power drivers side seat, on and on. ‘23s are getting a bump in price why? And Dark Matter Grey…….

66k for a premium awd er? That seems like a stretch. Pricing like the Y without the tesla network (yes yes they'll "open" it, will believe it when I charge at one) seems like a lose on the Ford side. Similarly, even with a federal rebate, being a few thousand over a faster charging I5/EV6 also seems like a hard sell.

I mean by all means keep it up, I'm happy to have a higher resale value...

Like me, you got the Comfort/Tech package on your '22. The base '23 Select (no options) is better than the base '22 Select (no options) in that BlueCruise and the 360 camera come with it automatically (with the big caveat you have to pay more to use it for more than 90 days). But yes, the base Select is improved over '22. Unlike the Premium and CaRt1.
