This is one of those thing i will never understand about humanity. And i realize most people just don't care about cars in the way that i do. How could you possibly buy a Mach-E, pay a "huge" premium, and have essentially no idea what you are buying?
So very common unfortunately, but I don't know how you don't even know the battery capacity of an EV! That's the number one scare of getting one.

Thanks for responding !

So what is the range of the extended range battery?
My Premium AWD Extended got the rated 270 miles a charge brand new- now a year later and learning my driving pattern and with updates the car will get 300 miles on a charge.

Wow, welcome to the forum to you too buddy.

I actually run a zero emissions vehicle consultancy that has delivered projects for fleets of over 20,000 vehicles(wee www.evenergi.com). I have been in the EV industry for around 10 years thanks.

if you actually read my question - I was simply asking - what do you mean by Mach e Premium with Ext Battery.

People are saying here that there is a different trim and badge which clearly is not clear to people. Mine does not show ext range on the badge.

Do you often sit on forums and sledge people for no reason - clearly you dont have a lot on.

Perhaps read my question. It was confusing as the origional post said there was a different trim called "premium with Ext battery".

So nice joining forums with people with massive egos.

I have been in the industry a long time - and that desire to "out know" people and "rah rah" for a brand is really *yawn,

Very curious to see what this does to demand. An entire segment of people will be ineligible for the tax credit (income caps), but I don't think they're necessarily wealthy enough to fork over another $15k for the same car in a '23 model. Is this still a 200,000 units/year car? Honestly I hope not, I like having a somewhat uncommon car :)

You don't need to explain to me, like i said, I'll never understand.

You have blown my mind even more. I would expect a consultancy owner of zero emissions vehicles to be an expert in the field. Even more baffling to me that you wouldn't know BEV's can come with different size batteries.

I would delete your post because i wouldn't want to be advertising that on the internet.

I am proud.

My company does machine learning algorithms that optimise battery management for charging speeds, warranties, charge management impact and financial returns.

Do you think I would not know that they come with different sizes of batteries?

That is what puts people off posting in forums freely and having good information - they feel they will be torn down in a blaze of ego.

Imagine someone who is a newbie getting torn down like that. Not pleasant.

My question was "Is the extended range battery just default in every Mach e Premium? Mine came with 303 miles? Is that extended range?"

How did you possibly take that as meaning "I dont know whether vehicles come with different size batteries".

The original. post here talked about "Standard Range" Premiums.. Mine does not have a trim that says "extended range" because it was custom.

I am still actually confused because it does not seem that there is a concept online of a Premium Extended range as a trim.

Those that ask questions -and admit that they dont know everything are those that learn and grow.

Ok let's all take a deep breath in, we'll get this sorted for you

My question was "Is the extended range battery just default in every Mach e Premium? Mine came with 303 miles? Is that extended range?"
When you say "came with" do you mean the *window sticker* said 303? Or do you mean the sales person or the range meter (aka GOM or guess o' meter on forums) said it was 303? Because you have a '22 if bought new off a lot today, and 303 is exactly the EPA estimate for a Premium Extended Range RWD. FYI - I have the exact same trim and battery option that's why the 303 immediately was recognizable.

When you said "mine does not have a trim that says "extended range" I am not sure what this means. Do you mean a "door badge"? Trim is just the level of car, not a particular object that the car has or doesn't have.

If you have the exact car I think you do ('22 Premium ER RWD) it should have the same door badge as me - Mach E X. ARK explained it *perfectly* below with the 4 possible Premium door badges:

What badges are on the side of your car? If it says "Mach E", it is RWD standard range. If it is says "Mach E4", it is AWD standard range. If it says "Mach Ex" it is RWD extended range. If it says "Mach E4x" it is AWD extended range.
When you say yours was "custom" do you mean the window sticker is green? A green window sticker was a customer's custom order they abandoned, a blue one is a dealer inventory order. There isn't much on a Mach E that is very "custom" on these things, except for basically the color, interior, and (if premium) battery and RWD/AWD. Still it is very very common to find your exact desired order among dealer inventory (which is how I got lucky!)

If comparing to Comfort and Tech, a few other differences are
-Blue Cruise and 360 Camera is only available for a 90 day trial (added cost to extend)
-no power liftgate
-no cargo area cover
My BlueCruise says it is active for 3 years (not 90 days). The only thing I had to pay for after 90 days was Ford Connect so I could continue using Alexa.

That sounds like an interesting business. You should head over to the GT threads as i bet you can provide some interesting knowledge and perspective on the 5 seconds of full acceleration debacle.

You paid $600 for the first 3 years of BlueCruise when you purchased the car.

Alexa is supposed to be free for 3 years. Is it the streaming media services that you subscribed to?

In my app it says I could use Alexa for everything except streaming of music and I required ford connect for that. Yes it is the streaming service I use. See above in your comment is says 30 day trial of streaming media services. I have the sticker that was on the car and it shows Blue Cruise was included. The only extra fee was my extended battery

If my math is correct the 2023 ER AWD Premium out the door pricing (with an $800 doc fee and 6.6% sales tax) is:

  • MSRP $55,300
  • Minus Active Park Assist Prep Kit $325.00
  • Subtotal $54,975
  • Extended Range Battery: $8,600
  • AWD: $2,700
  • Destination/Delivery $1,300.00
  • Subtotal $67,900
  • Doc Fee $800.00
  • Subtotal: $68,700
  • Tax Rate 6.6%
  • Taxes $4,534
  • Tag & Title: $200
  • Total: $73,434

Plus whatever Federal Tax Credit you can get.
