Went to the Sunnyvale tour stop today and looked at the same vehicles. Overall very nice as everyone has mentioned, I'd say not quite as nice an interior as Mercedes (although more modern), but close, yet considerably better than the Tesla 3/Y. Marketing person said that the frunk "organizer" will not come in the retail units (most likely incorrect, but he volunteered that without asking.) I actually liked the design of the non-perforated seats on the Route 1 when compared to the Premium- the center stitching is kinda cool. The doors don't have that deep, satisfying thunk when you shut them like the MB either but still pretty good, also nice and clean without those handles.

The infinite blue was really nice, darker and more gray than I expected in person (indirect sunlight.) Would really like to see that space white in person, but looks like I'll stick with red for sentimental reasons.

Felt kinda rushed through the look-see though. Sales manager begrudgingly answered a few questions- said orders cannot be changed without cancelling the current one. Said he couldn't give me the VIN (Ford will send when available) from his system even though my order has a build date/week.

The guy I talked to in NJ said the same thing - he said they were going to offer it as an add-on later. Honestly, if I have something big I'll throw it in the back. The frunk with divider is ideal for a small grocery run, and I'd leave it in there. I had no trouble closing the hood simply by letting it drop from a height of about a foot.

There's been so much complaining about the frunk divider and now it seems it might be an aftermarket item. I, therefore, predict there'll be complaining about it not being standard. So I'll start ...

It's a $60,000 car! It should have a frunk organizer at that price point. :p

I'm actually good with it either way. :)

Thanks for the pictures and write up from the Bay Area (and elsewhere).

Yeah seriously. There are two covered up holes in there anyway! Why put those holes? Tesla didn't ask me to pay extra for their frunk organizer! I mean come on.

I tried that, but the gas struts prevented it from dropping so I had to close it with some force. Maybe it depends on how those opening struts are adjusted.

Did you know they added those holes with an OTA update? AMAZING!

(Alt joke)

There's supposed to be something in those holes but it fell out during your first drive from the pickup.

(Alt joke 2)

Too bad they don't have drain holes at the bottom of the rear bumper like the Mach-E frunk!

Spigen has a Tough Armor thin case that is ruby red that I use for my IPhone 8 Plus.
So I bought this Swarovski crystal phone case to match my infinite blue Premium MME. When I go to the roadshow one thing I will have to see is if it charges ok with the thick crystal layer
In fact, my ridiculousness prompted the delivery of my Graphite iPhone 12 Pro today to match my carbonized gray MME.
I bought a Swarovski crystal phone cover to match my infinite blue premium MME. Some bling should accentuate well.

I have friends with Tesla white interior. It's all fun and games until someone sits in your car with a ballpoint pen in their pocket.

Like I said, I like it more. I just would be a nervous wreck about it getting ruined.
Here are good info on leather protection and cleaning. I know the MME seats are not real leather but IMO I would believe this would still apply.

Change your dealer, my San Leandro dealer was able to change my car color after getting the build date and giving me the Vin on the spot.

Sounds like a mandatory test drive thing. Hundreds of Mach-e Forum readers testing driving the FCTP cars and repeatedly opening the frunk and then slamming it closed!

If the dealer's salesperson says anything we just answer, "It's a Mach-e Forum thing. You wouldn't understand. "

Changing dealers after the order is confirmed is a bit hard. Not impossible but hard.

I thought it was like my raincoat - irreversible?
I think it requires a real reason, not just "I want that dealer with the green and red building" reason. Something like I moved 2,500 miles away. Even then I'm not really sure.

The dealer I have is fine. A bit uncommunicative, but how many different ways can we really expect the dealers to say, "No news yet?"

BTW, yes you can reverse your raincoat. You just look really silly.
