I currently have a 7 week old Mach-E GT. Have currently 3k miles on the odometer. My 90% charge shows to be 200mi. (100% is just around 225mi). It used to be 265mi when full but I don't know where the 40mi range have dropped to? I have only charged it to 100% twice, otherwise I always charge to 90%. Any advice?

What’s your Kw/mi. If you live in very hilly terrain that will affect the GOM as well.

Did you just finish cruising on the highway at +70 mph? Note that the highway range of the GT is ~235 not 260. If you are going 80+, this would be about what I would expect. I only get 265 if I am driving secondary roads at 60ish mph

Don't take the estimated range as gospel. It's an estimate, not a definite. In cold weather your actual range that you can achieve will decrease, but the estimated range is a guide and nothing more. With your ICE car the fuel gauge and estimated range was just as inaccurate, but since the battery state of charge is presented as integer percentages the car's guesses seem more "precise" than it actually is. The car has no idea how fast you're actually going to drive or in what conditions, so it makes a conservative prediction based on imperfect information.

The GOM is not a fuel gage.
THIS.

I drive strictly on flat ground. Mild CA temps, (e.g 70F). Mostly highway drive, about 70mi/h, but not all the drive is highway.

This comes up ALL the time. the guess-o-meter is an approximation, not a metric.

I did a trip in my GTPE, from above Placerville (mountains) down California's Central Valley (flat) and then up-and-down the mountain range around Los Angeles. Did 74 in 65 mph zones, and 78 in 70 mph zones, on cruise control. Air conditioning was off, but I used the heated seat and steering wheel heater while driving through a mild snowstorm. The tires were 245/45R20 XL Michelin Crossclimate 2 snow tires. Range on the GOM showed 256 miles after the over-900 mile trip. This was BEFORE the recall software update, while still limited to 88 kwh capacity. Now that I have 91 kwh available, range has gone up a little (too soon to give an exact figure).

My GOM was 314 this morning on my GT. I expect that to be closer to 235 in the dead of winter. Engage and bluecruise use helps.

off topic, a bit...how do you like those tires? Range affected, road noise and traction?

I can extrapolate my GOM out to about 230-240ish. I have charged to 100% 3 times in the life of my GT-PE and I don’t remember what the GOM said. I drive pretty sedately, using the ACC to accelerate and feathering the throttle with ACC disabled to slow down (mostly to conserve the stupid HVBJB, but also to keep my dog from flying all over the place). I would say that your GOM is the same as mine, driving in the same area. 🤷‍♂️🐩
