Except you're pretty wrong on "dealers cooperated and parts were readily available" at the beginning.

It has been the same since the beginning. Mine was one of the first failures after the recall software came out. My dealer knew I knew a Ford operations exec and that engineers on here were trying to give me a hand and still tried to just clear the codes and give me the car back.

If you follow @DevSecOps advice on the first page, you'll be fine. The hardest part right now, it seems, is being persistent with Ford corporate and getting the BEV team ASAP. This is one thing that they were doing a better job at but now they either have no idea who the BEV team is or something. @DevSecOps also has an amazing map where you can check which dealers have done the work.
Thanks for the clarification. You’ve totally destroyed what little faith I had left in Ford. ?

Sounds exactly like my “journey” with Ford/local dealer and Ford’s Customer “Care”! The local dealer, Lithia Ford of Fresno, has never called me, only texts, and even Ford Customer “Care” cannot reach them by phone.

Took a week before the dealer sends a text saying a rental was approved, then had Enterprise call me direct to let me know to come on down. Arrive and was advised I needed some “half sheet” from the dealer, which NOBODY from Enterprise ever let me know. Enterprise repeatedly tried calling the dealer who wouldn’t answer, then repeatedly tried emailing the advisor; no dice!!

An hour goes by and I call Customer Care, give them my case # and am told “that number has been closed, I’ll need to open a new one”!!!! They couldn’t give a reason why, but not shocked… I listen to the lady try repeatedly to get the dealer on the line; no dice. I explain that it’s nice to know they have no better luck getting someone and she isn’t amused.

TWO hours later, the dealer sends a fax(!) to Enterprise, and off I go.

I fire off another email to the head of Ford Customer care just to get the latest dilema off my chest and, just as before, will not hold my breath for a response.
I got my MachE from Lithia Ford of Fresno too. Worst dealership ever. They were quick to upsell me on warranty, etc on top of the 7K markup I paid (lot car), promising lower APR on the loan (which isn't legal). Well after I complained to the Dealership manager I got on the Ford Options plan and old contract voided.

When I was looking for a Dealership to replace my HVB, these guys never answered, Ford corporate tried to no avail also.

My car is at Madera Ford now.

Yeah, that appears to be mine. Tried to get in touch with the service advisor today, he never picked up the phone nor responded to my texts. The representative from the BEV team got in touch with me saying that the dealership is "waiting for 2 parts". This has been the case for the past week and a half now. When asked if there is an estimate of when the parts will get delivered all I got was, "no". Starting to look into options for lemon buy back law. Anyone have any recommendations as to which lawyer/firm to use?

Is Madera Ford any better?

Im getting the same response from my dealership. 2 parts...

Also I wouldnt go after lemon law as it might cost you more in the long run. I think we should all be hitting up the automotive magazines and news networks. Tell them how Ford cant even fix any of the vehicles for their recall.

When news broke about this recall the news networks and seemingly even Ford employees thought this software fix would be the end. In reality That was just the beginning and that needs to be in the spotlight.

What's funny is that I just got in touch with my service advisor at the dealership about 10 minutes ago. He said they got the parts in today so the car should be available to be picked up tomorrow or possibly today. Still considering the lemon buy back route though...

Problem is, (almost) nobody wants to run a bad Ford story. If it is Tesla with an OTA recall, it gets blasted everywhere, because they do not advertise and it generates tons of clicks.....but Ford spends billions on advertising...so not many places are going to report this. It is unfortunate.

So. Madera Ford. Just checked my cars EV driving history. Drove 5.7 miles (2.5 mi/kwh) in the afternoon business hours after I dropped off the vehicle (yesterday) with the svs. And today, drove another 11 miles (2.1 mi/kwh) in the afternoon business hours. Is this normal? Expected for dealer to drive the car this much to test it? My average is 2.5 mi/kwh at 75mph...

What if they tried to clear the faults and drive it without replacing the HVB? And then got the ssn and had to tow the vehicle? Potentially messing up the car... Any way to check this @DevSecOps ?

EDIT: I guess if they got a ssn message I'd get a notification.

It's pretty freaking clear in the TSB what has to be done to fix the car...

I called them today in the afternoon (before the car was driven), to check up on the status. My service advisor said, "yea, the technician is seeing a lot of faults". I once again mentioned the TSB and she said "it's a process" or some similar phrase to brush me off.

At least I was able to get a 2020 mustang eco boost convertible as a loaner. It does not even come close to comparing to the MachE in all aspects.

I hear ya. Clearing the code will reset the codes and roving behavior, but of course it can be triggered again and come back before the hardware failure is coming.
