Getting away from the laugh tracks, what are the thoughts on the high gloss black trim on bottom & around wheel wells?

I am not partial to the high gloss black & there were already some marks in it with less than 100 miles on the car. The marks were on the bend going into the wheel well. I would think going to the grocery store could be difficult even parking at end of parking lot.

the high gloss just seemed to accentuate the marks.

I personally prefer it because it seems like the other turns gray after a few years in the sun.

Thats true about matte black turning gray. But not sure if piano black is as scratch resistant as matte. I am in the it is what it is mode on this trim question but worry about scratch resistance. If it holds up well then it solves the graying issue. Best of both worlds

I think it's a choice between graying and scratches. My C-Max has both actually and yeah the piano black is scratched and the bumpers are gray. At least for me, I'd rather have the scratches because you can only see them up close. Most people have tons of swirl marks in their paint anyway. The gray of the matte black is obvious from a distance.

I think I am finally sold on PPF now. Will the FE’s fare better since those don’t have the black trim?
Well I just think that scratches are just more obvious on black paint.

My thoughts: I hate them.
