There can be many reasons why a BEV is not charging very fast or as fast as it was designed to.

Now that deliveries are about to happen, there will be more photos/videos of MMEs plugged in. If you see a Mach-E plugged into a DCFC, take a picture of the charger's screen, not of the car. We know what the car looks like. Be sure to capture battery %, kWs/Amps, time plugged in, and the maximum rating for that charger if you can.

Collecting video's and photographs will allow us to build (an estimate of) the optimal charging curve for the Mach-E (in real-world conditions).
Post them here. Keep debates on other threads, please.

OK, I guess I'll go first. I know there must be more out there.

Here is an MME charging on a DCFC. It was warm out. The charger was rated for at least 100kW. It had been charging for a while but I don't have the exact length.
Add 61% SoC

Looking closely at that, I'm not sure it's a reliable data point. Indeed it displays 121 kW at 42% SOC, but it also displays .67kWh added in 49 seconds, which is an average rate of 49kW. It's ramping up, but whether it would hold 121kW is, to me, a mystery.

I think it is the start of the session, maxed out at 126 with more than 40% is really ok!

Well, the bigger point is that this data point was being used to rank charging performance among EVs. STARTING at 42% SOC seems either incompetent or that there's an agenda involved.

I would like to see what you know about the 126kW speed.

How close to typical do we think that 45 minutes 10% - 80% is?

Darren Palmer said in the Performance & Charging webinar that the MME does 20% to 80% in 38 minutes. Presumably, that's the ER since the SR is listed at 10% to 80% in the same time.

Tesla says the new Panasonic batteries coming will have even better charging characteristics than their current ones. Will the MME be basically two generations behind Tesla on charging speed coming out of the gate?

I think the 45 minutes should be an easy number to hit on a daily basis. Optimal speeds will be faster.

From what we've seen of Ford's specs, the MME's charge times are consistent with a 2017-2019 90D or 100D with the latest firmware.
