My rear wiper wash has decided to die, any ideas or any others experienced this?

Had my 4 tyres replaced with cross climates on Friday, brakes now sound like they are grinding on the front...... FFS!
Never had problem with rear wiper failing.

It was too short so changed it with arm & blade from MkII Galaxy which fits.

Inexplicably, though, front wipers ā€œforgetā€ the stalkā€™s in intermittent mode when I get back in car after a stop, I have to remind it what intermittentā€™s about by switching to fully on or off then back to intermittent šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

Along with other stuff this thing does differently when it wants is TSS - Tesco shopping trolley syndrome, does what it likes, goes where it wantsšŸ™„

My brakes have been making the sort of grinding you describe for a while.

It went in for an intermediate service at c42,000 miles during which they didnā€™t find owt but then they didnā€™t have the wheels off.

Itā€™s going in just before 60,000 miles when itā€™s warrantyā€™s up probably in March when they should take wheels off, unless I decide to strip down the brakes myself before then, depends if I can live with the noise in the interim, and what timeā€™s available.

Let me know how you get on, mine were fine until the tyre change but I've checked and there is no scoring or anything.... just one of those things. the joys of Mach E ownership, you never know what's going to pop up or disappear.. Today my Navigation thought I was in Wales, even showed me driving along non-existent roads in Brecon!

Just to manage expectations for others - getting the BCM updated will not likely solve stuck and corrupted APIM or TCU modules where the 1.7.1 update was responsible.

I suspect that in this case the BCM update was applied in relation to the 22P25 Customer Service Initiative at the same time as some additional physical module hardware was replaced (likely a new APIM was fitted)

Because we can only see a vehicles software update history in FDRS itā€™s often not giving the full picture of what a dealer may have done.
Yeah, I can confirm that the BCM update doesnā€™t fix the the stuck OTA update.
Had the 22P25 action at my last visit to the dealer on 03/11/2022 and Iā€™m still in the same boat.
The car was in to replace front axles due to knocking and to sort out the OTA problem after Ford apparently told them how to fix it. šŸ˜‚
At least they managed to fix one problem this time.
After dealing with the dealer 5 or 6 times Iā€™ve now got it booked into another dealer in the new year and Ford have reassured me that this time they will finally fix itā€¦although the new dealer has already threatened to charge me for looking at the car as there are no outstanding field service actions on it!šŸ¤Ŗ
Hopefully Ford can communicate with this dealer a bit better.

Message from owner in Norway. I have a first edition who doesnā€™t take any OTA and it wonā€™t even take manual updates from dealer. I am trying it find a solution as dealer and local ford is saying that there is no solution and it will take 4 to 5 month to fix this. I found TSB 22-2404 as a possible solution from this forum and going to dealer next week asking them to May be perform this action. Any tips? What is 22P25?

I believe the TSB is the way to go. I had to get the Ford UK customer service team involved as the dealer I was using wasnā€™t interested in sorting the OTA problem.
They would only look at something if it popped up when they plugged my car in!
Ford UK said they sent them the details on how to solve the problem but even that didnā€™t work.
22P25 seems to relate to UK right hand drive cars. For some reason the Thatcham alarms in the car prevented the HVBJB update being sent out OTA.
It doesnā€™t solve the regular OTA issues ā€¦
Good luck with your dealer! Iā€™m next due in on January 23.

Hi

My Mach-e wonā€™t let me switch on auto updates (just stays greyed out) so I am not getting any updates.

Been back to the dealers about 4 times and had sync modules replaced but still no joy & the dealers are waiting on the Ford Sync team coming back to them. I believe my car will have been in the first batches that came to the UK as I have had it around 18 months now.

Any ideas or suggestions on what maybe the problem & How can I see my OTA history?

Thanks,

Sean

You can't see your OTA history, only the previous OTA (sometimes). Best wait for the Sync Team to reply. Your car has numerous modules which can be updated. If you privately contact Wonkey Donkey via the forum with your VIN if you ask super nicely he can look at your car on FDRS and see which modules still need updating. The issue is that if any updates are not covered by recall or a service update programme the dealer can charge for the time it takes to carry out any remaining updates.

Trying to be positive just received this update Priority Update 22-PU0603-DC-CHG

"Improved DC Fast Charging

We know how important DC Fast Charging is to you, so we've tweaked the charging module to improve reliability and performance."

Is it me or is there slightly more detail nowadays? The actual module is referred to. šŸ‘

Wonder what the tweaks will do? Ironically I've only ever publicly charged three times in 11,500 miles.

Updates are really slow and so much is focused for America in them anyway. I have lost the OTA excitement.
