I have heard more info about the JDPower article from someone else at Ford. All I can say. I don't think people will be disappointed.
Although we may already have our cars by then and no longer care. ;)

I won't. People are acting like spoiled whiny brats and need to be called out for it. We are in crazy global time, get over it. Complain all you want, but guess what? It isn't going to help! Whaaaaa!?
Guess what...crazy global times had zero to do with piss-poor communication, bad programming, faulty execution, and junior varsity coordination between “big Ford” and the dealers. It’s just bad business. You can be a Ford apologist all you want, and chastise those who will plunk down tens-of-thousands of dollars on a car, but all that does is make you seem petty.

It doesn't take an apologist to understand that the efficiency of every single corporation took a major hit of several month on top of dealing with a health crisis. I work for the largest tech company in the world and you wouldn't believe how much productivity and creative design, along with marketing, PR, and EVERY other department has been hampered with the past 7+ months. The struggle is real, some of us just learn to roll with the punches.

I've been holding my tongue and reading as many threads as I can, hoping that the context will come to me but I give up. What the heck does OKTB stand for?
It appears to mean O.K.to Bitch about the car ?

If reviewers weren't required to wait, we'd get fast reviews rather than well considered, well driven ones. And reviewers who have to wait for the car to be released from a previous reviewer would be unfairly disadvantaged.
Having been involved in numerous press releases issued under embargo, it's even better for us. With every journalist given the opportunity to prepare their stories in advance and all coming out at the same time, there is much more pressure for the journalist to write the best and most interesting stories. They also have plenty of time to get their facts straight. All of that is good for the public who want good reviews.

You think it was bad before. Covid keeps going like it is and things can really shut down this time.
General Motors had to shut two plants down for parts. It's bad everywhere right now.

Supply logistics is hanging on by a thread.

Yes, it's really bad out there right now. Some suppliers are 10 weeks behind. I really hate to say all that but things are getting ready to pop. If they shut things down for 6 weeks to 10 weeks like they are saying well................... you can figure it out.

So will they shelve the cars they've already built, or launch with limited production?

Maybe, but at this point I'm less interested in vehicle details (we've got a ton of that already, probably more accurate than they'd tell us), and more interested in overall drive impressions by the independent experts that are used to comparing vehicles. (And of course real-world mileage.)

Just kinda feels like the reviews will be moot by the time we get them. Although I suppose they're not really for early orderers like us anyway. They're more for people that don't already have orders.

Uggh, let's hope it doesn't come to that.

If that happens, maybe we'll hit the window for how long dealers have to hold onto FCTP cars and can buy those. What is that, 4 months?

Watching this InsideEv’s podcast, Kyle Connor from Outofspec says that he is going to get to drive the Mach E this coming week. Can’t wait to hear his review.
