First off shout out to Austin from Ford who was at the dealership. I am going to save you all a long winded posting and just summarize my thoughts, including what I was told by Austin.

So my build date is 12/7 and it might not arrive before New Years (BOO). He said they are all are going to a middle point and then off to the dealers which will be adding shipping time.

The "Frunk" dividers are not coming with customer production builds (see pictures too)

One of the demo cars had a 82% charge with 207 miles left (was AWD Extended). So if you are planning to just charge to 80% as best practice then you might be around the 200 mi mark. Just an observation here, not sure about real world use since these sit idle for hours and take short rides.

Some of the tours get actual rides in it, I was lucky unless I missed that many others got rides as well? (See pictures)

Ford APP didn't look that bad and did have features for the MACHE as well as location information. Didn't get to play with it but did get to see some of the screens. Same generic app but there is a profile for the car which has the actual features of the car.

The Rapid Red demo car had a small scratch on the drivers side rear door with the white undercoating showing through. I found this disappointing as it was not even that deep. So the idea of it scratching easily was the only bummer of the day.

Thanks for review and pics - Interesting on the frunk dividers - data points slowly seem to gather towards not being in the final product but we just have to wait and see I guess.

At the 2nd MachE event I went to, there was a kid all over the outside of the car (Red Premium). I was just cringing because his hoodie had a zipper and if there were no scratches by the end of that showing I'd be shocked.

As someone who details cars as a hobby, I can say the paint I saw on the event models was high quality. But red and black are notorious for swirls and showing scratches. You really have to baby those two colors.

Thanks, was in a rush, went back and corrected some of my writing mistakes :). Three of the cars had them and one was different, when asked they said they won’t be in the production cars. The red one didn’t have it and the holes were capped. It didn’t look like the divers were ever there. The Ford guy made a point to tell me the ring of lights on the charge point when charging tells you how much it’s charged. That’s a nice feature as I now have to turn my Leaf on to see battery capacity. There’s so many features and controls I didn’t get to play with and when I heard ride I was running to sign up. I could have spent so much more time but due to Covid it was best to keep it short.

The white demo car was my least favorite color but the infinite blue was really nice, I actually prefer it but it’s wasn’t an FE choice.

I've seen Infinite Blue, Red and White in person. Infinite Blue, under sun, looks waaay better in person.

I had originally ordered Red but ended up with Grabber Blue FE via MachDrop. I love the red as well but already have a Mazda CX-3 in red so changed it up.

I really like Space Gray and if the MachDrop had not come through I would have gone Space Gray.

I thought Star White looked good but for a sporty car I like colors.

The charger works much better if the other end is plugged into the wall.

I make the joke but...

Back when I had the Focus Electric I participated in one of the local Drive Electric Week events. I had it set up showing different EVSE's available:

Note that I have the JuiceBox plugged into the car with the other plug just laying on the ground.

I got quite a few questions of "how does it charge when not plugged in?" Sigh...

Edit: I still love that blue the Focus had; was really sharp.

Thank you for sharing the photo of the FFE. Still love my 2017 FFE (Tron - magnetic metallic). The range is perfect for in town driving really. My kids will be driving it for a long time after the Mach E delivery.

Excellent photos. I'm normally not a fan of red cars but that's a really nice color. I also very much prefer the front trunk without the dividers

With you on that. We had the same color on my daughter's Fiesta. It was actually a tri-tone color which we discovered when it went into the body shop the first time and the estimate increased due to the color.

Yea, perfect paint is an OCD for me along with many other things. I noticed it right way and was going to take a close up picture, but avoided it as not feed into my OCD. New cars make me nuts and it takes me way too many years to stop caring about the littlest things.

Seems obvious that red is too cool to have that frunk divider in it, unless they use the one with the pony cutout. :p

Yea, like Monk, it's a blessing and a curse. Maybe mostly a curse, but my PPF installer is happy with the business.
