I am SO excited right now. Thank you for sharing this video. I really love the look and color and definitely appreciate seeing in close up, far shots and moving. It is good perspective knowing the announcers height of 6'2". I am 6'.

That was 0-40 in roughly 4 seconds by my view of the video timer. On a slick warehouse floor with a little squeal. And 3 people in the vehicle. Maybe not even floored.

Nice.

(I'm hoping that was MPH instead of km/h. Looks like it said MPH but the range showed km. Weird.)

I wonder if they are only letting journalists take the ride or if it will be open to the public during the auto show.
I'd be shocked if it was anyone more than journalists and PR people that actually get to ride in it.

I'd be surprised if they even let the public sit in it.

agreed. They let people sit in it in LA and I saw a video from some tesla fanboys who were pretty harsh on criticisms of the sync4, and even broke the handle off for the hood release. my guess is that is why they are now treating it like royalty at car shows

It looks like Bjorn Nyland got a last minute sneak peak too. He seemed somewhat impressed so far.

Broke the handle on purpose? WTF?

Here's the video; at about 2:09 he breaks it by pushing to the right instead of pulling back:

Holy Tesla lover comments on that video ha!
Tribes are so stupid.

I LOVE Tesla and what they are doing. I might even buy a Model Y in addition the the Mach-E, but crapping on the Mach-E is just ridiculous. For so many reasons.

I'd be willing to bet not one of the commentors even owns a Tesla.

So far the Mach-E is the best competition to Tesla yet. It's what we need as a country to move EVs forward.

This is bigger than some old school Dodge vs. Ford vs. Chevy BS.

Agreed. A little--intelligent--tribalism is OK though I think. Competition is good. Would either the Mustang or the Camaro have evolved into the machines they are today without the legendary Camaro vs. Mustang rivalry? Probably not. Always pushing to be better than the competition is what leads to greatness. OK, OK I know the Challenger is part of that, but not really part of the legendary rivalry. It disappeared for too long. Great to have it back though!

I wonder if the Y vs Mach e rivalry will grow into the same thing. I hope so.

Just typical prototype stuff. It'll be ironed out in the production models.

There probably will be, but I don't think to the same extent or nature. A lot of that rivalry was stoked by "car guys" who are more enthusiastic about performance and specs than the average driver. You'll still have some of those people being passionate about their ride's performance, but I think in general the nature of it will be more about "status" rather than performance. I also think the majority of buyers are just going to want a car that is reliable and gets them where they need to go.
I'm pretty sure there will also always be Mach E vs ICE mustang thing for a long time as well, although that may be more of a one sided "rivalry".
