There was an interview with Jason Mase, a Ford Marketing Manager.

A few new facts\confirmations (for me anyway):

No Major changes between prototypes and production models (the question was about new seats)

All 1st Editions will be delivered in the 4th quarter as well as some Premiums, Selects, and California ERs based upon your reservation number.

All 50 states will get Q4 deliveries

There will be more available options than listed on the original reservations form.

There is a separate entry for the Paris unveiling that gives a good view of the area behind the frunk with the cover removed.

Also, there was a picture of the overhead light panel that appears to show switches and vents for overhead heating\cooling? Followup: Looking closer at the image, I think the vents on the overhead panel may cover the microphone for the Sync system.

Yes, that's what I said.
Where are you seeing 342 Wh/mi? That's 2.92 miles/kWh. The UK website says 3.75 miles/kWh.

Ah, by extrapolation. Yes, we've tried doing that too and one guess is that the range estimate in the US probably accounts for expected battery reserve, whereas it appears the WLTP range might not. In other words, the US estimate probably isn't for 98.8 kWh, but based on maybe 10-20% less than that. No one really knows what it will be yet though.

Or, the difference between WLTP and EPA could just be in the different driving conditions chosen as criteria.

Or perhaps a combination of both.

Why the focus on specifically 150kW? Tesla V3 supercharging stations can do upto 250kW with long range packs.

Tesla stated 4.1 miles per kW in their newly released (boosted) range figures for the Model Y. Why wouldn't Ford's Mach E approach or exceed this figure?

V3 station count out of how many SuperChargers? Not that many at this point. Who says the new Mach E will not charge faster than 150kWh?

Weight, buffer size, battery efficiency, battery management system, aerodynamics, effectiveness in regenerative braking, cooling efficiency, etc

Because they had to design and build to some spec a long time ago. the bill of materials and design are fixed at this point. They can't just change this far into the game.

I have said this once but I will say this again, Musk is a flat out lies. He has done this with the years preceding the # series and he is currently doing it with the truck. Everyone knows this. So if you are reading what Tesla states it is GOING to be for the Y then trash it as it is not true. My fact is that about 2 years before the 3 was introduced the reservation amount was $1000. He never had the capital to actually build the car. As such he had to have so much money and reservations to take to investors/banks to get the real money to build the car. Now he is doing the same thing with the truck except it is $100 When you build the car on their website it gives you a price based on based on the gas savings. You have to unclick the small box to find out the actual payment of the car. In short he is all about misdirection. I would trust any figures from any other company but Tesla.

But, Tesla started at 90kWh-bumped to 120kWh and now a few Superchargers in the network have the V3 claimed speed of 250kWh. Some V2 Superchargers are bumped up to 145kWh. A vehicle firmware upgrade is required to use V3 and Models X and S can not have this upgrade. Firmware upgrades are simpler than hardware upgrades and I bet the Mach E will have the capacity to charge faster than 150kWh sooner rather than later. As shown in the file attachment, V3 is only good for a short duration.

In general I agree with you about musk and feels practices. But, the aluminum frame of y will be lighter, and there is likely a smaller battery buffer so users will see more range. So, users probably will see a little better range than the e. I don't think the difference is significant but it exists.

The MAJOR problem with Tesla is that Tesla will NOT sell ANY parts except to their approved body shops. As such if you have an accident the costs are significantly higher as only so many shops are approved and repairs take VERY long as parts are hard to come by. Now ad din that the Tesla is an ALL aluminum frame and in many cases a small microscopic break in the aluminum renders the car unsafe by insurance standards and as such the car has to be totaled out. This can be devastating price wise as like any car the depreciation is very high. The Mach E is a combination frame of aluminum/steel. it can be fixed at any body shop and because it is not all aluminum it can be fixed. In short the Mach E will be cheaper to insure. Tesla's are expensive to insure/ I am an agent so I do these things for a living. it is the WHY I never bought a Tesla and was waiting for mainstream car makers to do something.
