This station worked for me for P&C, but only hits 60kw. #3 next to it is a PITA but I hit 100kw every time. The Merc is 'different'.

Unless eating somewhere, we kill most of the time walking. Last thing I want to do between two 2-hour drive legs is sit in the car for another half hour. Bad for the circulation. And the butt.

Roughly 120 DCFCs now. We do a lot of long road trips.

I love that most of the EAs are at Walmarts. When the weather is hot or cold, it's a big store to get a lot of steps in.

I would watch YouTube, apparently as a money grab, you can’t use it unless you pay for the streaming package. I have the Wi-Fi hotspot enabled in my car, there is zero reason why I can’t use the YouTube app…

Speaking of Fast Charging. This is something I don't do very often. But last night had an unexpected meeting in the city. 1st DCFC since the update that made it faster; and low and behold I believe it was faster. Top Speed 161 kw and from 19 - 50% it never dropped below 108 kw. 12 minutes. 350kw charger (150 was not working). Electrify America (Target). Just stared at the screen in disbelief instead of watching netflix 😂

I used to play Blocks, but my new car is so out of date on software, I can’t do that. I’ve only DCFCed once (just to test honestly) in the two weeks, and with the extended range, I haven’t had to. With the standard range I had to at least once every week.

Public DCFC has been a rarity for me. Only a handful of times in the past eight months. Last time I did was before work around 6:50 am. EA station, no one around. I sipped my coffee. Fixed some Spotify playlists. Browsed the forums on my phone (always nice to actually be in the car when reading stuff here). I probably checked and adjusted settings in the car. Pretty relaxing stuff for me.

Often feel like I never stop moving. Not necessarily the worst thing being forced to just sit and chill.

Day ended up being sunny and warm for February.

Never used one since we charge at home and travel in our classic 2006 Jeep Commander. Big, comfortable, quiet, my favorite big suv of all times showing 49500 miles. 7 seater for the whole family. We are looking for our second ev a 2024 SUV 7 seater ev that returns 300 plus miles AWD in the $70k price point. 2025 might be more realistic but time will tell. Our stable will always have the Jeep for long hauls.

Used restroom, eat food we bring (if it is meal time), walk around, check messages. Rarely spend money. Never play games.

Usually read an ebook if weather is bad. Otherwise get out and talk shop and cars. Although, I can count on my left hand the number of times I have used DCFC. Usually charge at night at home.

Latest OTA 4.1.3 allows you to connect to public WiFi. If that’s not available, I set my phone as a hotspot and connect vehicle to it. YouTube streams nicely with the 5G signal.

Don't public charge very often but I would sit in the car wondering if the HVJB contactors were going to give out when driving afterwards.
