Just got mine today, did anyone else’s finish come scratched? My gear selector has a line about 3 thumb widths long right on the top.

Is there a difference between the Bronze on the Gear selector and the Copper Bronze on the Start Button? Or are they the same color. I like the copper bronze, it looks like it matches closely with the GT interior trim but the gear selector just says bronze.

They are all the same color. Not sure why Kevin didn’t keep the color names consistent.

I placed an order a couple weeks ago for a start button cover. Is the production delayed?
Hi Matt, on 5 SPURS order page for the start button cover, it is still listed as a Pre-Order so they are not available yet. All pre-orders will be shipped as soon as they are.

Any word on the start button covers?
Hi Lynsey, I've been talking to Kevin about this the last couple of weeks and wanted to wait until I had a bit more information before I got back to you. Kevin had to change manufactures for the start button cover. The original one he was using had inconsistencies in the product. He was quite upset by this since he had ordered several hundred and found the issue only after they were produced. He had to go through the whole order process with a new manufacturer and it looks like we should be getting these next month. Will keep everyone posted when I find out more.

Mark, thanks for the updates. These are definitely high-quality items in my opinion and I'm glad 5Spur is so conscientious. Personally, I can wait.

Mark, as a very satisfied user of the two main 5 SPURS rings I want to let Kevin know that, with the new User Interface on the Mach E main screen, the increased tactile feel and the "heft" (if this is the right word) of the 5 SPURS addition to the volume knob significantly aids in precise control of the new audio, heat and other new functions of this knob.

As I said in an earlier post, Kevin had to change suppliers for the start button and he just sent me this update:

"All buttons have completed machining today (Feb 3). The curvature makes it tricky to manufacture and this time they turned out perfect…which is what I’m always striving for. The previous processes from the other supplier were not yielding consistent results so was frustrating but all in the past now. Anodizing is next and should be completed by end of next week then I will start shipping them out."

So it looks like we should start seeing these soon. Sorry it has been such a long process for such a small part but with everything going on, that's the way it goes. Not sure if you had read this but the UK has had quite a few issues with their postal service recently and even parts that Kevin does have in stock that have been ordered seem to have taken several weeks to get to me instead of the usual 5-8 days.

I was a bit curious about this myself. I am very satisified with the other products recieved, however another update would be nice, even if it was just on our order page (not asking Mark Boris to always be expected to do it).

About that start buttons, two things.... Even after Kevin changed to a different supplier because the first one had huge inconsistencies, when he received the batch from the new supplier he said "something didn't look right". I did not ask him what he meant by this but this guys is a perfectionist and I took it as the finish on them were not what he wanted. He had this issue with the GT500 covers a few years ago where the finish on them were too dull. Anyway, he did get this sorted out and will start shipping this coming week. That is a possible second issue in that the UK has had major issues with their postal service. I ordered some covers for a friend on January 12th and I got them a few days ago. He said they have straightened out the postal service issues but there is a backlog so even when he starts shipping next week, might take a bit longer than the 5-10 days it normally takes. Everyone should start getting shipping notices soon. Thanks for all your patience. 😊

Please. You are the last one to apologize on this forum. I was just thinking about these while walking my dog this morning as I almost forgot I ordered it. You should not have to answer at all really as it was more out of curiosity.

I am sure others would agree, you have done more for improving our cars and helping out, I almost feel we owe you a kickback or start a gofundme page just to pay you back by getting you something!
