Ha, that's a joke!

At their awful rate of delivery (not build), I'd say Ford needs to seriously look at better ways of transport.

My MME from April '22 is still not here - probably won't make it before the IRS rules on the battery tax credit...

Delivery ETA slipped 7 times:

Transport by truck out of Mexico would IMHO be a recipe for a disaster. At least given my experience in years past driving in Mexico.

I'm one of the new customers coming to Ford after being lured in with this car. Mistake on my part. I can only hold my breath and hope OTA's begin to get rolled out in a more competent manner, then hope those OTA's fix this car that obviously was not ready.

Almost every issue I have with the car starts with the terribly slow and glitchy screen and software.
Are you a Job 1 or Job 2? I have a 21 select, Job 2, with C & T and it has been awesome. I am in the Early Access and have gotten every update, typically a few weeks before others. If job 2 you should try to enroll in EA, it may speed up your updates and experience.

I know you're not joking. I have followed many horror story accounts of cars in transit for some time now. I have always expected that.

Based on others' accounts, I figured that I might take delivery about 2 months after my build week. My concern is that this timeline might get worse. I certainly hope not!
Good luck!
My build week was 12/19
My "built" day was 12/22
My car is STILL in Mexico 10+ weeks later.
2 months? I'll be lucky if I get mine 4 months after the build date.
At this point I'm likely going to get a different car.
Coming from Mercedes, BMW, Volvo & VW for the past 25 years, I figured I would try to buy American. I did try. Ford has really failed me.
Ordered the car April 8th 2022.
11 months and no car.
Ford is just an 2nd rate car company..

I have a ā€˜21 Premium AWD ER and have had zero issues. Just lucky I guess.

I hear you, too. I'm sorry that you are having a frustrating delivery experience, but I can't join you in disparaging an entire company based on the negative experiences of a few.

I must say though that I have noted the delivery travails of both you and @4sallypat as I have noted others' successful deliveries. The two of you seem to be the exception rather than the rule. It will be interesting to finally discover the reason for the delay. I know that I would feel the same way as you if I were in your shoes.

I wish you well and will be very happy for you and Pat when your cars finally arrive. Best of luck!

I still kinda like having an uncommon car, but It's good to see Ford double down on EVs.
I've been visiting CA and Mach Es seem to be a dime a dozen, especially in the Bay Area.

Thanks for that - as @NYSteve and I are very similar as I normally drive Europeans: BMWs, Land Rovers, and Mercedes I can see why we feel this way.

I am a bit more accepting since my first "American" brand and built in the USA: Ford Lightning was delivered in lightning fast speed ( no pun intended).

2 orders placed in April 2022 - '22 Lightning (after waiting a year making the reservation) and '22 MME (Select w/ C-T option) for the wife.

Figured the MME would beat the the Lightning since it's been out a year earlier and the Lightning was so new and cutting teeth...

Nope - Lightning shows up in July '22.

Lightning delivery amazed even Ford Corporate marketing team when I inquired about the MME status.

I will wait on my MME to see what the IRS rules on the battery tax credit portion...

Youā€™re welcome. I do wish you both well and hope you both take delivery before the battery rules are finalized and announced. That will not be possible for me.

Alas, I am fairly certain now that there will be no credit for me. Even though I went into this in November expecting that there would be no tax credit at all, it started to look like their might be after all. Now, I donā€™t think so.

Whatever happens, my intent is to take delivery whenever it arrives. Best of luck!

Indeed. Iā€™m in the SF Bay Area and when I got my 2021 Iā€™d see another Mach-E once a week. Now there are two others in my neighborhood and I see a ton when Iā€™m driving around the Bay. I do flash my lights and wave (if youā€™re wondering why that happened). Iā€™ve gotten a few waves back too.

Are you sure you arenā€™t confusing them for Teslas? Iā€™m lucky if I see one or two Mach-Es a week.
