I tried the foam method. Wasn't the problem in my case, unfortunately. So going back to dealer

I've had the issue with my 21 Premium ER for about 45 days now. Originally had my car into the dealership on 09-06-23 for which they performed TSB 23-2040 and got the car back on 9-15-23. Went less than two days before the error messages popped back up. Car went back to the dealership on 9-19-23 and found out today that they have ordered the following:

- image processing module
- front camera
- all new cabling

Hopefully parts will be in next week. Assuming it will take a day or two to get the parts installed. Dealership has been great to work with. Gave me another Mach-E loaner which was a brand new never driven model. 20 miles on the odometer! Wife is not a big fan of the grabber blue color though. ?

Just for the pre collision not available last night but unlike everyone in this thread mine was accompanied by the hill assist not available. Restarting the car made everything come back so hopefully just a dirty sensor/glitch. You know typical 60k car stuff...

well, my fault is back and seems to be permanently on. i did the loosening 'fix' a while back. i will try the 'fix' again and see how it goes.

Will report back.

For those that have done the dealership TSB, have y'alls returned? My mach-e is due for a dealership trip anyway. so, just curious.
Attempted to just wiggle the cord myself, but no luck. Brought the car to the dealership and they ordered an IPMA. Took a week to get it. Took a day to install and clear fault. Hopeful that this has solved it.

Another one bites the dust. My car went into the shop yesterday, 21 AWD SR Job 1. They ordered a new set of cables which they estimated 4-5 business days out. Headed to pick up the car shortly until the parts arrive. It's been SUPER annoying to have no adaptive cruise, no regular cruise (some glitch never allows you to set the cruise even with adaptive disabled), no lane keeping, collision avoidance, etc... I scheduled this appointment 3 weeks ago after having an intermittent camera for weeks that eventually just stopped working altogether.

I just got mine back today from the dealership. It took about six weeks to get the cable, but it's nice not to get error messages and to have functioning cruise control again.

I got my Job 1 back yesterday after the fourth service visit for this. Repair took a full week. They didn’t replace the cable. I got a printout of my diagnostic codes and per the TSB, those specific codes said to bypass cable work. My errors started April 2022 pre-windshield repair, bumps had no effect, and the cable behind my sunglass holder looked correctly seated. So new IMPA installed and calibrated. Can it finally be fixed? I will only be 100% confident next spring when it gets hot again - but for now, having no error message after so long actually feels like something is wrong ?

ETA: Something is wrong for sure...the error message came back within 5 days. I feel so disgusted.

I've been waiting for the cable to arrive for almost 2 months now. The service advisor (Frontier Ford, Santa Clara, CA) keeps telling me that they have no idea how long it would take. Is it a specific coaxial cable? I'm just concerned because my car is over 2 years old now and I'm wondering if they will honor the warranty work if it delays any longer.

No, they do not have the part needed to do the repair, a coaxial cable. I'm thinking of going to another dealership on Monday to see if they have better options.
