Sorry folks - I know the London event has been done to death on here, but I went to the "special" event evening tonight and grabbed a few more pics.

Nothing much more to add to the excellent video uploaded by @SportZnTouring, but at least there were some free drinks and canapés on offer tonight :)

I've attached a couple of views that I don't think have been covered elsewhere as my tiny contribution.

Was also nice to chat with some of the Ford guys, and interesting to hear them reiterate some of the things that others have said....
  • Pre-orders of all UK spec variations could arrive as soon as October 2020 (I personally still think it will be Dec/Jan)
  • Specifications on the 3 UK variants have now been set
  • Ford will be partnering with IONITY charging network in UK for Rapid Chargers
Anyhoo - enjoy the pics. It was fab to be able to sit in and play with one of the pre-prod vehicles - and I'm now even more excited than I was before to get my hands on one of these awesome vehicles.

Yep - that was the Rapid Red - it looked awesome.

I also got a pic of the back of a Carbonised Grey model

- but it was in quite a dark spotlit environment, and I'm not sure my pic does it justice ...

Thanks @Wonky_Donkey!

A question for you and those that are lucky to have seen the car in real life.

I've heard people say that it actually looks better up close than it does in pictures. I'm not too worried about that, because I think it looks fantastic even in pictures! Having said that, I think that's true for most sides BUT the front.

I think the front (the "grille" if you like) is a missed opportunity and very unexciting. If you just look at the car's front, you don't know if you're looking at a new Mustang, a Mazda or spy shots of a new Nissan Qashqai.

I know it's mostly due to aerodynamic demands, but still think it could look better. For one, the GT looks much better without it being worse aerodynamically.

In any case, the question is, do you think it looks better in real life?
And if so, do you agree with what I'm saying? Because if you love it anyway (even in pics) then obviously you'll love it in real life as well :)

PS. The reason I'm asking is because I will most probably not be able to see the car before I have to finalize my order.

@symos - I know what you mean. The front can look a little like a Mazda3 from certain angles (especially in the Rapid Red) - but when looking at it front on - that big black pony on the front does make it quite clear it's a Mustang!

In regards to the lack of front grille, with the way they have used the black trim, I think it looks like a porn star handlebar moustache rather than a mouth ?

All that said - I still love it in photos and real life.

Interesting that it's Stampede mode in this software version. It's been labeled as Unbridled everywhere else.

Totally agree about the grille. The painted grille just looks... plain. Wish they'd put the patterned GT grille on all models.
