I can’t believe we’ve been talking about this since last year.
on the plus side this is more confirmation that 2020 is in fact now last year and that's something we can all be very thankful for.

Like so many times Quebec weather is unlike any other. I really hope Ford has a good heating system. We're not michigan

So for all those who wanted a heat pump and clammoring that Ford should put one in the MME, this is what heppens when you try stuff and dont test. I remember telling everyone to just relax with the heat pump since we dont know how well it will work.

but I was assured by experts that the octovalve was a superclever, amazing bit of technology that was nothing less than the second coming of heating technology. so clearly this is all fake news.

I was never one of those clamoring for a heat pump. We had one at our old house in OH to supplement the gas furnace. Once it is below the mid 40’s it is pretty useless here in the cold North.

I’m still trying to understand Sandy Munroe’s love affair with that and Tesla.

I betcha it'll warm the car up like a champ.

The question is how much power it'll consume (at the cost of range).

Don't forget that massive volume knob on the center screen. Also, there's that little driver information screen behind the steering wheel. Tesla can't say the same for either feature with their minimalist interiors in the Model 3 and Y.

I would hope that the HVAC system was completely checked over , defrost won't work right if AC
hope that the HVAC system was completely checked over because if AC compressor is not operating it won't remove moisture from the air or if the recirc door isn't allowing fresh air into the vehicle or could just be water on the cabin filter because of rain water leak. Any of these could cause windshield to fog, or if airflow defroster vents is restricted

if it has a heat pump octo valve system that could very well cause the problem if it is working correctly also

My take, we've debated whether or not there is a resistive heater in the the octovalve pump. Regardless if there is or isnt one, it obviously is insufficient for Canada's temps, like those here in Quebec. I am curious to see now what results, those in Europe with similar temps like us have. Over engineering at its best.
