Why did Ford release FordPass v5 with so many problems?

They released it unfinished so the forums would start talking about it, instead of everyone talking about BC 1.4 still not released. They wanted to get our attention off the Blue Cruise. LoL. Seems to be working. Plenty of threads on FP now. LoL ?

I just used it on a 800 mile trip and it worked great. It is missing some past features (i.e. trip planner), but those are not problems or bugs, just opportunities for enhancement. I know some android users are experiencing some true bugs. Ford needs to fix those ASAP. Now, Bluecruise 1.4 is an entirely difference issue. Their delays are ridiculous and unacceptable.

I've been using it for quite some time... and honestly I don't have many problems at all. UI is still evolving, but PaaK is way better with 5.0 personally

It's been in development for two years... maybe even longer. I met one of the developers who told me how the new app was going to function almost a year ago. The problem with the old app was how unreliable the current status was. I was surprised that it was just released widely.

Does the app show that it's turned on? FP decided to turn it off for me shortly after the 5.0 update and it refuses to turn back on. I flip the toggle to On, it thinks about it for a few seconds, then turns it back off. ?

Yea and even did a hard boot of my phone

My plug n charge is not working. I’ve taken the steps of checking it on and off rebooted my phone and still will not work, maybe I should explain that I’m trying to use my complimentary EA credit of 250kwh.

So many scary statements here..
1. They've actually spent over a year on this. ?
2. There are multiple developers working on this, I honestly assumed based on the quality of the app and it's feature set this was part time work by a junior developer.
100% serious here, besides the paak stuff this should be a wrapper around some apis.

Not speaking out of my a**, I don't write code anymore but ive managed more mobile development teams than I care to remember.

I also have not experienced any issues with the latest version. And I use android.
