We need an early delivery recipient on this forum to test paper and plastic grocery bags (reusable vary) in those slots. I seem to recall one of the forum members (@ChasingCoral?) brought some reusable bags to one of the tour stops snd they wouldn’t fit. For local trips for me they’d be fine if the bags fit.

Personally, I plan on removing them with a pin puller and keeping them for future occasional use. The undivided Frunk will be perfect for me for a couple bags of ice and some perishables/refrigerated items (etc) on the occasional trips to the larger grocery stores or Costco (both about 25 miles away).

Didn't I read somewhere that the divider was only on preproduction models? Or was there an update to that info that I missed somewhere?

It's on all US versions and probably all NA versions I'd guess. There's an issue with the emergency release mechanism I think. NTHSA standards have 3 requirements for how far a trunk lid needs to open depending upon vehicle speed. There's not a legal issue with frunks per se as Porsche has a large frunk on several models and those all have electronic releases via key fob etc. Somehow I think the divider was a stopgap while whatever the issue was got resolved. I recall reading somewhere in the 17.8 quadrillion posts here that once Ford was successful in resolving the issues, remote opening of the frunk would be enabled and dealers could remove the dividers for us (if we want).

Since we have neither children of the age to worry about getting locked in things nor grandchildren, it's coming out pretty quickly when I get it.

Same here!

And a shame my kids are too tall now but it would have made a nice spot to put them away when they were too annoying! LOL

I am a bit surprised to see two reservoirs yet still appears to be only one radiator. Maybe there is another radiator that I can't see yet......that would make sense for the extra reservoir.
The power electronics probably uses the radiator. The battery likely uses the AC Condenser.

It seems that Ford has engineered coolant loops that are common to all functions which means you can likely use heat generated by the components to warm the cabin, presumably reducing the need for resistance heating.
In the video the coolant is moving in the power electronics loop but not in the battery loop, which suggests the loops are separate. I would also think there would not be separate pumps for the primary and secondary drive units.

That said, unlike you I have not seen the factory videos and have not seen any schematics of the system.

Well here are the schematics of the Focus Electric's cooling system. Multiple loops, multiple pumps, connected with valves so loops can be joined.

I was not suggesting one common loop for all components, rather loops specific to a function, e.g. battery, passenger, electronics and motor, that are capable of routing coolant between the function specific loops.

I believe it makes sense that there are separate pumps for each motor. My suspicion is that one is dedicated to the larger rear motor and the other to the front electronics (present on both AWD and RWD). The one servicing the electronics most likely includes the front motor as well on AWD models.

Sorry for the confusion.

Very interesting video, no one else did this before.

We take a deep dive under hood of the all-new all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E to expose its hidden technological secrets. Full tour of motor components, electrical control hardware, and DIY maintenance points.

I think the Frunk Dividers are good size for separating individual grocery bags. I may replace the snap fasteners with threaded inserts and thumb knob bolts so I cam take them in and out easily if they are not already set up for easy removal and replacement.
Nope. Too small. They would have to be really small bags.

Just skip the octovalves please.

Besides all these coolant hoses and pumps and regular type wiring, where are the high voltage orange wiring?

Given that the battery and stuff is behind the motor box it is likely that the orange wiring is also on the other side of all the electronics.

Where I am the bags tend to be small -- and I don't use recyclable bags because of the hygene issues -- so this would probably work. However, I wouldn't be tempted to use the frunk for groceries. The vast majority of the parking is two rows with front end in on both sides, making it very inconvenient to get to the frunk. I don't think I'm alone. Teslas are everywhere but I've never seen anyone put groceries in the frunk.

The front storage seems ideally suited to all those things -- like first aid kits and battery jumps and dog bags -- that you rarely need but want in the vehicle. JMO.
