I am lucky to have one of the earliest delivery dates I've seen on this forum (as early as two days away!), which also means that I have been among the first people experiencing the agony of waiting for information each time my vehicle enters a new and relatively uncharted stage of the process.

As best as I have been able to find, these are the most straightforward ways to get information about your vehicle along the way:

  • Pre-fabrication: Your Ford reservation page. Until you get a VIN (which can also be found here) this is the best spot to find your planned production date.
  • Fabrication: The Mach E forum VIN tracker. Previously www.macheforum.com/site/pages/tracker. This will let you follow your vehicle through production and into shipping.
  • Mexico-to-US transit: www.palsapp.com. This is a bit hacky, since this information is really for the next step in the process, but a manifest is generated at the time the vehicle leaves the Mexico plant.
  • US hub (Kansas City, MO) to regional distribution: Also palsapp. The manifest covers transportation from the Mexico train to the next distribution point. In my case, that is the Argentine rail yard in Kansas City.
  • Regional distribution: Information black hole. At this point, I have nothing. I can infer that my vehicle will be travelling on a BNSF train to a regional hub in northern California, but I haven't found any way to track that shipment. (This is despite reaching out to BNSF in two different ways, they don't seem to care much about me unless I can tell them how many traincars worth of product I want to move.)
Has anyone found tools to track an order past the train yards of Kansas City? This probably isn't a widely requested bit of information yet, but I'm sure it will be a headache for others as distribution continues.

palsapp doesn't show past KC?

for my VIN it shows the local plant right now as the destination (car hasn't shipped yet). that might be an anomaly though

Ford Mustang Mach-E Shipping tracking - what comes after Kansas City? 1610492932544

I have to assume that this is as far as it goes. My vehicle has reached its destination city (not where I am) and the status is listed as delivered (not to me) on Jan 6. My estimated delivery from Ford is Jan 14-20, so I have to assume that it is still making progress in some other way that I don't have visibility into.

BNSF provides estimated transit times along the route that the train would take to northern CA at 8-10 days, but those are for general planning purposes and have nothing to do with my specific order. Those numbers line up perfectly with the early end of the Ford estimate, so it's probably somewhere closer than Kansas City by now, I just don't know where.

Your summary deserves to be attached to the Tracker in this Forum. Would help a lot of newbies coming here.

Maybe you could call the train company...give them your freight number, and ask them what they think is the next step. What’s the worst they can say...”we don’t know”? Ok.

I have always know "Delivered" to mean the dealer took delivery. Usually at the dealership but could be other places too. In this case, I would say your dealer has the car but apparently that isnt the case so I am just as baffled as you.

When I buy cab and chassis trucks, the status of Delivered means it was received by the upfitters (the place that builds and/or installs the utility body or aerial device).

Just guessing by comparing @theblueone's tracking to mine: The transfer seems to be from Kansas City, MI to Kansas City Kansas. Mine shows this exactly as @theblueone's.

The Destination Name would be the location of the hand-off to the next rail link. Argentine Ramp in his and Speedway in mine.

The date would just be the date the vehicle has been delivered to the hand-off point. Mine is today.

I've tried that, the freight number from palsapp doesn't appear to have the same format as whatever tracking system is being used by BNSF on the next leg. I'm also inferring that BNSF is the shipper, so I could be asking the totally wrong company.

Very good question!

I expect they are using that as a storage location -- that's being discussed on another thread. They will then be shipped on to other locations.

Although mine has not shipped yet, I am assuming it will go to KC and then hop on the BNSF train to bring it right here to Santa Fe. OTOH, I worry that it might be put on a covered wagon and come on the Santa Fe Trail. Patience, lad.

Stupid question as I am a little later in the process. Does Origin of Kansas City mean it is already there? All other details minus the Freight Bill are blank. Today was the first day my status changed from In Production to In Transit.

No it means whenever your car is loaded on the truck in KC , it is the origin. All fields blank means your car is not there yet. It probably takes 2 weeks to get to KC from the plant

I am in the exact same information 'black hole'.

www.macheforum.com/site/pages/tracker got me an update when shipped from MX (1/20), est 36d shipping
palsapp.com showed when received in KS (2/3)
...but then, no update when or if shipped from KS...

I just talked to my dealer, located in New Jersey. The last update is mine arrived in MO 4 days ago. I don't think there's a way to track, but from Missouri, it'll be shipped to Twin Oaks PA. From there, it'll take 3 or 4 days to be delivered to the dealer.
