I have the same set up but I hid everything behind the compartment next to the glove box. The Chromecast flexible hdmi cable did help.

Looks sweet. I have been trying to figure a way to hide and make it cleaner. This looks satisfying. Do you have any issues with the remote response?

I wonder if we can add a usb splitter behind the plate.

I was wondering the same thing as far as using a splitter on the regular USB and only use it for charging for an additional phone while not using the device. Or just install a long cable on the rear usb and C connectors.
