All I can say is that my car arrived in KS today 01/15. I have an update form Ford in a new email that states that my car will be delivered to my dealership for me to get on 01/25
Guess you are one of the lucky ones at this point, congrats!

From Mach-e Club Site: https://www.[Banned Site].com/threads/ford-responds-to-mach-e-delivery-delays.2097/page-2

As many of you already know, deliveries of the Mach-E have been delayed for numerous customers. The reason hasn't been explained until now, so we reached out to Ford for comment.

As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles, we are conducting additional quality checks on several hundred Mustang Mach-E models built before dealer shipments started last month" said Emma Bergg at Ford public relations. "We want to ensure they meet the quality our customers expect and deserve."

As for the total number of vehicles impacted by the additional quality checks, Bergg clarified that "It applies to several hundred vehicles (those customers who have been emailed.)"

Several dozen Mach-Es were recently spotted having been shipped from the plant in Cuautitlan, Mexico to a rail yard in Kansas City, MO.

EDIT: Ford requested to edit their statement and the article has been updated to reflect that.

Concerns about the battery cells as the European Kuga PHEV has faulty cells due to the Korean battery plant issues? This could be why it will take 4-6 weeks to resolve as shipping across the big pond isn't done overnight.

Sorry, that wasn’t directed at you. It was directed at Ford Authority. At least most other sites say where they get their info.

Here is a link to an online article about the Kuga's battery issue. This may or may not be the issue with the Mach-e. The article is from Nov 30, and there are similar articles going back to Oct 15, 2020. Ford would have known about this issue before retail production for the Mach-e, or certainly right at the beginning of production.

Also found this article specifically blaming the battery pack used in the Kuga

This is what I have referred to. the battery packs are being replaced and new software added. My thoughts are the Mach E is undergoing similar changes especially since there is software changes. Ford Confirms Kuga PHEV Needs Replacement Battery, 27k Units Recalled - autoevolution The time frame aligns with the Mach E delay.

Agree, if it was just software, the OTA would be an option. Unless OTA is a low confidence feature for the first cars since there are chip shortages everywhere....
