I think he was just trying to be funny and say your dog is cute. I don't think he meant anything by it; most of his posts are intended to be humorous.
the first two parts are correct - at this point I'm about 70% humorous posts and 30% serious I think. there's actually a couple of doctoral thesis-level serious posts I've put on here at this point.

Company: Metromile
Liability: $250K/person, $500K/accident, $100K property damage
Uninsured/underinsured motorist bodily injury: $250K/$500K
Medical: $1K
Comprehensive Deductible: $1K
Collision Deductible: $1K
Collision Deductible Waiver: Yes
Rental Car Reimbursement: Yes
Roadside Assistance: No

Rate: $75.33/mo + 12.9¢/mile

For comparison, my 2017 Chevy Bolt is $30.69/mo + 4.7¢/mile

Based on pre-covid times, I was averaging about 950 miles/mo on two cars in the family, which came out to roughly $115/mo. So I'm expecting a cost of around $170/mo (or $2,040/yr) for two cars.

I am still a little leary of my state farm ins quote for my future MME GT. Im 53yo male, single, good driving record, multi line discount, living in Salem, Oregon. They quoted me $720 a year. For once it feels ok to be older. ?

Rates are a bit lower right now because people are driving less due to the Pandemic. The Multi line discounts make a big difference too.

Vin still not recognized by the Geico system, but for me it was ~$900/6 months. But again so many factors influencing the quote/risk factor.
Mine was around the same. They seemed to have it in the system when I called. I'll get another quote from another company that was cheaper a few months ago.

Wow, my sports car is $589 for 6 months. Cheaper than some people's mach-e.

Hi All,
As more ponies are starting to find their for ever stables, it's more important than ever to know what is a fair insurance quote for your new stallions.

After taking a glance at other threads I didn't really found a detailed info about the quotes people get. So in order for us to compare apples to apples I suggest that if you got a quote from any company please post it here so we all know how much it is and what it covers.

Example here:
Car Type: Premium SR RWD - 2 drivers

1. Company Name - Kemper Auto
2. Bodily Injury 25-50k
3.Deductible Collision and comprehensive 1K
4. Towing assistance - not Included
5. Uninsured motorist 25-50k
6. Your city - San Francisco
7. Quote -$100 a month

Just a quick note - I added our FE mach-e to our USAA insurance and simultaneously removed a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit - did not change any of perimeters except a few small things that make the premium go up - but after all was said and done the 6 month premium went down by $95.00 - nice.

Living in Oakland. The best I was able to find for my premium sr rwd is about 150 a month for a 50/100 coverage with 250 comprehensive and 1000 collision deduction with a waiver and loan/lease waiver.

It's not great but I'll live
