I have skin cancer on my face. Can a panoramic roof contribute to or cause this?
No. The sunroof has a UV layer that blocks something to the extent of 99%+ of UVA and UVB rays.

Automotive glass has used UV blocking layers for decades, largely to protect the interior from premature fade.

If you think about it, if that was the case, that nice clear glass that you are staring through would be causing even more problems. Like @gordonf238 said, cars have had UV protection for decades.

Interesting enough at one time I wanted to get some glasses that turned dark in the sunlight. But then quickly realized that they wouldn't be dark while I was driving, because they change based on getting hit by the UV, and the car window blocks it.

I have those glasses, and indeed they stay clear when I’m driving my Mach E.
The ironic part of it was that I wanted them so that I wouldn't have to switch glasses when driving!
Luckily, I tried some test glasses out on the parking lot before committing to buying them.

Transitions has a lens coating that reacts to visible light and turns dark behind the wheel. Not super dark like their traditional ones out in the sunlight, or like how sunglasses are tinted. But they do darken behind the wheel. They're called "XTRActive". Zeiss also makes a similar lens coating called PhotoFusion X that will get dark behind the wheel. All my eye-glasses come with those coatings now, but I also invested in some polarized sunglasses that live in the car and use them when the Transitions/Zeiss coatings aren't cutting it.

When you get new glasses, ask for Transitions XTRActive or Zeiss PhotoFusion X coatings. Those will darken behind the wheel. Not to the level of sunglasses, but enough to make it easier to drive without having to reach for sunglasses.

Is the driver's face in the Mach-E even behind the leading edge of the pano?

I could swear that my face is in the shadow of the headliner that precedes the pano.

It has been many years since I checked on this, and I did hear that later that they came out with ones that worked differently, but I never checked them out. Maybe I will have to look into them again.

I have to lean back to even look out and up through the glass. Sun never hits your face when driving.

I've been getting XTRActive for at least 10 years. Looks like they just released a newer generation of the tech. Definitely worth checking out.

I'm no expert, but it's my understanding that skin cancers typically show up many years or decades after exposure to the sun. I'm currently on my second regimen of Fluorouracil, which causes pre-cancerous cells to turn red and "die", while good cells do not. My nose and cheeks are pretty red again, like a bad sunburn from the cream.
