Yep. Which is kind of a meaningless stat when nearly all the cars are special order.

I'm sure it's intended as a measure of inventory sales. But the only inventory sales for the Mach-E right now are the few customer orders that decided to pull out at the last minute.
I see hundreds of MMEs listed on car sales sites like cars.com. Either Ford is shipping both customer ordered and inventory cars to dealers. Or dealers placed a few orders of their own to begin with. Either way, it doesn't look like all are customer ordered cars.

I know this forum is only a small portion of the total Mach-E buyers but would have expected more reports of delivery out of those 238. Trying to live vicariously while I wait a few more weeks for mine.
You would be correct. Only fanboys and car nuts like me get on these sites. The total number of potential purchasers is likely 200% higher at his moment!

Those MMEs listed may not necessary be for sale. Could be demo units. Its a way for dealer to drive potential buyers to their dealership.

I agree with this. I've had a couple of dealers in my area (and one in Texas) treat their customer courtesy MMEs like they'd be something available to purchase off the lot. Then of course they inform it's only for customers getting warranty work and suggest you come in to submit a reservation.

I suspect the vast majority of those are just ordered vehicles. If you check dealership websites for inventory, some will show MMEs that haven't arrived yet. For instance, there's a dealership in my area that shows 21 MMEs online, but they haven't actually gotten any delivered yet (at least I don't think they have). Cars.com might be picking up vehicle data from the same sources.

Looks like there's probably some FCTP's (demos) in those numbers too.

Approx 2000 MMEs made in Dec if I recollect correctly and 4250 in Jan. I expect at least 1000-2000 cars sold in Feb as most of the cars make their way to dealers. Pretty good bump from Jan.

Mine might be on a railcar, but I don't think the train has left Mexico yet because my primary status has been "awaiting shipment" since 1/29 (production date 1/19).
Curious when your order date was. My production date was supposed to be Jan 18th but no sign of that happening. My order date was August 2020.

My guess it the days between getting to the dealer lot before selling and handing over to buyer.
Yep. Most are special orders that are picked up by the customer. The rest are those refused by the customer and they are moving fast, too.

Geez nobody wants a Lincoln!
I know of one customer who was interested in going from Volvo to a Lincoln, but the 2021's have been slow in coming out and had a greedy dealer in Chicago (go figure) that would not budge on some INSANE numbers. It is only one datapoint, but still an interesting use case. She ended up staying with Volvo.

Ugh. I just refreshed the tracker (as I do on a regular basis) and now my primary status has changed from "Awaiting Shipment" back to "In Production" and the ETA was changed from 3/23/21 back to 1/1/1990. The production date still says 1/19/2021. No idea what's going on with it at this point.

Just curious, should I be worried if I haven't received any email regarding a production date yet? I placed my order online on October 25th for a Route 1 and confirmed my order through the dealership shortly there after. I send my dealer an email once per month and get the same response of "No production date scheduled yet."

No. There are several people who ordered in October that don't have build dates yet. There's really nothing you can do until you get an email from Ford with a build date. At that point, you'll be able to get your VIN and start tracking. But the wait won't get any easier.
