I was planning to get these for winter. But I'm not sure if the offset is going in the right direction for the wider rim.

https://www.bbwheelsonline.com/petr...face-19x8-5x108-40mm-offset-1980P5A405108B72/
See this calculation: https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wh...50-19X8ET40&fcl=50mm&wcl=30mm&scl=50mm&sr=0mm

In particular, look at the summary down at the bottom, which explains how the solution is larger or smaller than the stock. In short, however, it would probably fit, but would stick out 20mm further than the stock rim, which might be more than you want, and it will have a positive scrub radius (tire doesn't rotate around its centerline) which could slightly impact handling.

The page doesn't say the center bore or the load rating - if those aren't a match then the wheel is a no-go.

It might be better to look for an 8" wheel with a higher offset (more like 45-50mm).

Thanks. The center bore is 72.1 and the load rating is 1700 lbs, so I think I should be good with those. But the offset might be the killer.

This is super informative post. Thoughts on may be including a picture of the respective wheel to make it easier to identify?

Found this on another thread...

Thanks! I don't have time to break it up and add to the table right now, but I went ahead and added the image to the OP to make it easier to find.

It isn't easy, and it is good to have a trusted tire shop work with you on the details. However, in short:

  • Wheel diameter - can be same size or larger. You can often, but not always go down one size (in this case 18" should be fine, 17" is unknown)
Also I was looking to maybe use 17" wheels but as it turns out the brake discs are 17" so 17" wheels are no bueno.

Also the Ford Focus RS wheels fit
They do? Which ones? And do you know for sure that they will fit, or just seem like a specification match? I'd mostly be worried about load capacity...

However, it is an interesting thought, because I usually buy alloys for my snow tires, but prefer to buy the stock wheel from a similar vehicle (since they are often available cheap used from people upgrading their cars) rather than a brand new wheel.

Bore is 63.4 so its not unreasonable to say the MME wheels are based off of the Focus RS. The only info missing is weight capacity, but since this is a Ford Performance part I am sure the dealer could tell you that

I was thinking, how hard do you think it would be to run a staggered setup on this car? Would need spacers and fender flares to look good?
