Hi Steve
SynergEV, ChargePoint and EV Connect are all in the BlueOval Charge Network, the Ford app covers all three of those (and dozens more) with no extra apps or accounts required. Did you try the Ford app or was there another issue? Would love to dig deeper.
Awesome road trip write up! My parents just drove Route 66 end to end and back - they're not on here though (yet, at least!). They had an amazing time and used so many different chargers along the way.
When you mention issues with Plug & Charge and the app - Plug & Charge doesn't require app...
Tesla Superchargers have been in the Ford app since Feb 29, 2024 - what is being added is non-Tesla NACS fast chargers. If you have a 2021-2024MY Mustang Mach-E, you'll need an update to Connected Navigation to support them. That update is starting to come out for Mustang Mach-Es (more on that...
That'd be up to those networks to offer the option.
My vote would always be for networks to have (relatively) competitive pricing without needing paid subscriptions at all. I'm reassured to see Walmart, IONNA, and others joining that trend. When there's a cheaper charger nearby than some paid...
There's a lot to celebrate (and hit the road for) this week! Happy 🇨🇦 Day today to our friends to the north (or south from our office in Detroit ;) and Happy 250th 🎂 to the US this weekend!
The summer road trip season is in full swing – and with another busy travel weekend ahead of us, your...
When a DC Fast Charger is selected, you'll know that because the distance to destination symbol on the instrument cluster becomes a charger instead of a finish line flag.
When you're within about 19 miles of that charger, it will automatically begin preconditioning in the background.

The TL;DR is that it prioritizes getting to your Target Charge by the end of the next day, charging entirely within the set windows if it can.
Yes, Connected Navigation has that feature - it can be viewed from the Trip Overview screen, or the Turn List. It also displays it prior to starting the trip. I use this all the time. Connected Navigation is the only tool I enjoy using for road trips where charging is required.
Have you authorized multiple drivers to your vehicle (to share access with a friend, etc.)?
The user that started the subscription is the only one that can manage it. It may be the other user if there are multiple.
This is part of the problem with PlugShare - anyone can put listings there, whether they're real or not. At least with networked fast chargers in the BlueOval Charge Network through the Ford app you're much more likely to find the listing accurate.
We've helped dealers who didn't know they had...
For most Mustang Mach-Es, that speed difference is marginal at best over a normal 20-80% charge. And at Ford Charge dealers, it's also easy Plug & Charge.
Navigation data comes from many sources, but it's possible that some folks added chargers (for example, via PlugShare) that aren't truly public. Dealers have chargers from many different networks and many different charger providers, some of which are open to the public and some of which aren't...
I got 53,000 miles out of the stock 19" Michelins on my 2021 Premium.
I'm also at 47,000 miles on the stock 20" Goodyears on my 2024 F-150 Lightning too. They've probably won't make 50k. But I'll take 47-48 any day.
You definitely do not need to disable Plug & Charge - and I recommend that you don't.
Plug & Charge is useful at so many more networks than Tesla - and more all the time. I find that on my routes Tesla isn't even the cheapest option with their paid subscription anyway. I suspect that will...
