I will definitely take my mobile charger, but a very small percentage of the 60,000 campers will have electricity and they are paying dearly for that amenity. But hey, I have something they don't.... a big a$$ battery to charge my phone, fans, and flashlights! 🙂
Thanks for the info. Is this something that has changed fairly recently? I read through your pinned post on the 12V battery and I believe it said it only charges while the HVB is being charged or the car is running.
I am going to be at a festival for 5 days with my Mach-E sitting by my tent, not being driven. Since it is the only secure place to keep belongings, I will likely end up opening and closing the doors pretty frequently. I don't plan to use PAAK, I will put the fob in a faraday pouch when not...
I was wondering about that. I usually drive 8-9mph over the speed limit. ("Nine you're fine. Ten you're mine!" A quote from a local sheriff.) I'm planning a trip in June that I did 2 years ago. In my Tacoma it was 11 hours. ABRP is putting it at 14. Not looking forward to an extra 3 hours!
I sure hope they add chargers to all their locations! I have the app to take advantage of their grocery and car wash deals. They are constantly offering gimmicks to get discounted fuel. Maybe someday that will be electron deals! 😁
This message popped up about 2 miles from home. I was at 65% SOC. I had no navigation running. Out of curiosity, I selected Find Chargers. Ford Nav opened and found many chargers, the first being half a mile away. Why the urgent sounding message? It sounds like I was in the middle of nowhere...
Nice to see this real world anecdote. I am planning on car camping for 5 days at a festival. Last time I went (in an ICE), we inched along in 90°F weather for 2 hours to get out of the grounds. I have been a bit nervous about how much battery my Mach-E will use in that situation. Your experience...
After seeing posts about bad experiences, I asked EV Support if they could tell me what dealership in my area has sent more than one tech to EV training. He responded with 2 dealers that Ford considers EV Competent. They are 5 other bigger dealers who are closer to me! Thank goodness I am still...
My 10,000 mile mobile service definitely took longer than 16 minutes. I don't recall how long, though. I know for sure that he checked the 12V battery because he started to explain that it takes him a while to get at it. I also know that he used the standard tire rotation of the back tires...
