Not gonna lie, the Mach E is still a great car. I'm just tired of waiting for it. Plus, Jeep is currently having a sale that brings the Wagoneer S price down very close to that of the Mach E I was looking at. I'll miss the horse jokes in the Mach E if I do decide to give up, but I can drive away...

Yeah... I took a test drive of a Jeep Wagoneer S today and... damn... I think I liked it better than the Mach E. I got some real thinking I need to do as to whether I'm going with the Jeep and to call my Ford dealer to cancel my Mach E deposit.

I wanted mine for this summer. It's the only reason I put my deposit down back in February. If I had known it would be delayed this long, I wouldn't have bothered. I'm giving them until early July. Even if I have to eat my deposit, if I don't have something by then, I'm moving on.

Same here... although right now I'm starting to look at alternatives.

Well, maybe I'm just more impatient than the average person here, lol. But if I had known I'd have to wait this long for something that wasn't a custom order, I wouldn't have placed my deposit back then and looked elsewhere to begin with.

Was yours a custom order or a dealer stock order (which, by the way, mine was originally ordered in November of 2024)? And as ridiculous as 5 months is, 1 year is even more so. No car, unless it's some super exotic like a Ferrari or something, is worth waiting that long for, IMHO.

I actually downloaded the manual a couple months back to look it over out of curiosity and for planning for it...

One tip is that the manual is available online in PDF format. I actually downloaded it and it may not hurt to keep a copy on your phone or something in case you can't access the physical copy in the car for some reason (like being locked out...).

I'm not going to blame Ford on this, as they aren't the only ones with this limitation, but I do wonder why car companies seem to have stopped offering good ol' manual keyhole backups for opening locked doors. I mean, sure, I do love the proximity unlock offered by wireless fobs and PAAK, but...

Ugh... my Mach E was finally due to be delivered to the dealer this week... I'm honestly cursed at this point.
