  1. New Mach E Range

I like to think of the guess-o-meter as a credit score. takes into account weather & road conditions, driving style, prep and auxiliary draws on the battery. Could it have been all the ā€˜starsā€™ (so-to-speak) were in alignment to cause such a noticeable drop?
  2. Edmunds Massive Charging Comparison - MME is second to last.

Thanks for posting. Looks like Iā€™m 35 &36. Nice thing is charging time isnā€™t much of an issue since I charge at home. But I can see how this is relevant for long distance drivers. Why so slow? Is ford being conservative? Can this eventually be addressed by OTA or upgrades?
  3. Portland/Vancouver - Windshield/PanoRoof recall service

Ford Service in Renton will do itā€¦.& even scheduled a time, but ended up postponing out of concern the process would break the roof and there are no replacement roofs on hand. Erg. Fordā€™s left hand keeps sending me nasty ā€˜you have outstanding recallsā€™ grams. While Fordā€™s right hand postpones...
  4. After most recent software recall/update: MME Charges fine everywhere else but home.

So helpful. Thanks. Any ideas what actually causes this? Itā€™s been charging fine at home until now.
  5. Slow charging overnight now

Could definitely be the the supplied charger as they may have have a limited life span. Howeverā€¦. There are known multiple issues with the ā€˜21 that involve reduced domestic charging as a symptom. Does your MME charge ā€˜normallyā€™ when you use any other L2 charger away from home? Did this...
  6. After most recent software recall/update: MME Charges fine everywhere else but home.

Follow up Took MME to dealership. Their MME specialist reports the charging port needs to be replaced. Said current one has too much resistance for level 2 charges. Onset of that symptom is still unclear to me. A Expedited replacement charge port from Detroit due in a few days. Claims the...
  7. After most recent software recall/update: MME Charges fine everywhere else but home.

Very helpful thanks. The memo describes my experience precisely. I do have aā€™21. But never experienced this issue until recently. Will definitely follow up. thanks again
  8. After most recent software recall/update: MME Charges fine everywhere else but home.

Anyone experiencing similar? Iā€™ve been able to rule out the home charger. Someone at Ford (after 10 plus transfers) did vaguely acknowledge this but wasnā€™t able to provide details or a fix. Reconciling Car vs App vs Charger setting ultimately did not resolve.
  9. The charging infrastructure really sucks.

Yep sure does. Drove from Tacoma to Santa Barbara - San Diego & back via grapevine last week and got to experience an array of charging experiences that ranged from acceptable to awful. Long story short, the infrastructure is in its infancy and has a long way to go.
  10. Driving from Tacoma to San Diego

Had a great time in LA. Was able to travel back & forth between Venice, Balboa, El Segundo, Hollywood. Predominantly used EVgo and EA. no issues while in town. Heading home via I5 Using Apple Maps instead of Ford Navigation. Apple Maps was able to successively calculate and show all...
  11. Driving from Tacoma to San Diego

Driving my ā€˜21 MME AWD extended battery from Tacoma to San Diego. As of Santa Barbara trip has been in un eventful. Ford app optimized the route so weā€™re not spending a lot of time at stations. Most charging stops coincide with restroom and food breaks. We were able to successfully divert a...
  12. Anyone know of 1/2 way decent Ford service center in South Puget Sound?

Iā€™ve had good experiences with Titus in Tacoma and Bickford Ford in Snohomish. (I know that one isnā€™t south)
  13. DCFC in America - it’s falling apart

Weā€™re in a limbo zone. Not enough of a critical mass that would inspire companies to build modern charging stations like Germany has. Until that happens weā€™re stuck with this 2nd world patchwork.
  14. FBI spotted using badass-looking Ford Mustang Mach-E electric car [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

encouraging. Wonder if having EVs in federal fleets will motivate a more reliable charging network
