Yes - no questions asked. They replaced both back panels. Now my driver door one is doing the same thing. It goes in for its 20K work and glass recall later this week, so I'm going to have them replace the driver's door panel as well.
I put my car in 1PD before I drove it off the lot and haven't ever disabled it since. The Mach-E is the first car I've ever had that offered it, but I find it incredibly intuitive and have never wanted to disable it.
I've only had this sort of thing happen when going down my driveway (somewhat steep) and 1PD decides to disable itself momentarily. It feels like acceleration, but it's really just unexpected coasting vs. regen. I've had to quickly hit the brakes a couple times due to this. The only time I've...
Similar to my experience. I'm now working with the Service Manager and Ford's CX team on this issue. Still assuming a recall will happen at some point given how pervasive this is.
Click on their name on the left side of their post then "Start Conversation". This will let you PM the Ford social media team and they'll take it from there.
[off topic] and now they're telling me they don't have any instructions on how to do the glass recall: "the repair procedures are not yety avail. For the glass recalls." [unedited] I dunna... Ford is having a tough time.
I've been dealing with this since 6000 miles, now at 13000. There's a parts issue and there's also a dealer has too much work and can't call me back issue.
Yes, there are two issues. So far my dealer thinks mine is the click of a bad axle not the thunk of a bad motor. They’ve replaced one axle with no effect. I’ve been trying to get the other one fixed for six weeks. COVID or not, this is getting a bit shameful.
Steering is electric assist (vs. hydraulic like old power steering systems), but there's a physical connection to the wheels. Good luck on your repair!
I'm still waiting to get back into the shop for axle 2 of 2. The SA is overworked and has a hard time calling me back. It's getting worse though - now I can feel it in the steering.
