Both Apple and Google have had the ability to provide for battery preconditioning for quite some time. It was given along with the ability to provide turn by turn instructions on the IPC. Both have declined to take advantage of that particular feature. The hold up isn’t with Ford.

The dealer may not have been able to update the modules necessary to bring your car up to 1.4. The reason is that the updates were pulled due to some issues. That can effect the FDRS system they use as well.

2022 cars came with BC 1.0. That is probably what you have unless your car was one of the lucky ones that was upgraded to 1.4 late last year. The OTA process for that upgrade has resumed but it is frustratingly slow for most folks.

The two leads in the bumper allow access to the frunk only and only work when the 12v battery is dead. They do nothing to gain access to the trunk or the rest of the car.
