I didn't check temps and I was a bit concerned about heat but I'm willing to see how it does. I've just got it around the wire. But I did completely surround it. I have had faults when just pulling off from the house or work though

I'm surprised there wasn't more posts about your method. I added foam on the same places yesterday so far I am noticing improvement in the lane keeping not going gray and keeping the green bars to the side of the car. I also have not had a fault yet, but obviously it's far too early to tell...
