Because you are miles and miles away from home, on the road, and decided to charge. Road trips happen, just finished one myself, and as I understand, preconditioning the battery before a charge is useful.

Because you are heading to a charger soon. I believe preconditioning is also useful BEFORE charging, but I could be wrong.

As I understand it, the brakes are not used as much as an ICE car, but I don't know or understand how coolant works in an EV, so let that one go. I should know better, and question all service they wanted to perform and charge for - they will hear from me!

I got suckered into coolant flush at 20K miles. Called BS on the brake fluid flush, but let them do the coolant. I will make sure to call them out on my customer sat survey!
