I haven't done anything yet, didn't really have the time. And nothing is wrong right now other than the shudder when manually pressing the brakes. One of the people at O'Reilly's said he thought they would make a 3rd party caliper in the spring. So I might try to wait and see if prices come down.
They showed me a picture of the caliper and there was a faint trail of fluid coming from one valve seal I guess is the proper terminology. It didn't look like much. But I hardly ever use the actual brakes and only noticed anything when applying the actual brakes and noticed some vibration but...
Yes it's part of Ford service. The main problem I'm running into is that Ford is the only source of that caliper, they don't have a 3rd party caliper. I did call Brakes 4 less and Mavis. The guy at Mavis thinks we might see the 3rd party guys like O'Reilly, Advance, etc start carrying those...
So is my local Quick Lane ripping me off here?
My original brake pads had the problem where they stuck to the rotor when wet, and were replaced a few years back under warranty. Over the last year or so my car will vibrate and shutter when the conventional brakes are applied rather than the 1...
That's crazy that you say that. I was just about to throw mine out after having and using the Grizzle-E for almost a month now. Tried hooking it back up and making sure it was fully plugged in and viola it worked. Guess it's going back in the car as a true backup, mobile charger as it was intended.
Tried everyone's advice, from keeping it in the AC for a few hours, changing to the 110 plug and checked the 50a breaker and nothing worked. Looks like it's cooked.
I ordered a Grizzl-E from Amazon. Is that a decent replacement? Will it be reliable or perhaps even a little faster?
I've been using the travel charger as my primary charger since I got the car in 2021. We're experiencing a huge heat wave and not sure if it's related or not, but I've got two solid red lights illuminated.
Do you think it's heat related or has it finally just kicked the bucket? I tried...
I have a security update this morning pending, but don't want to lose PAAK again for a month on my Samsung S24 Ultra.
Anyone been brave enough to install this one yet? If so, any changes?
System Update 15
The details:
Release date: 01/22/2025
Android™ Security Patch Level: January 2025...
Also got the update this morning, installed it but didn't have time to try it out before heading off to work. I did get prompted to install a backup passcode again after Ford support in their infinite wisdom told me to delete my PAAK which killed that backup code. So that's a good sign that...
Ford's tech is so janky sometimes. I am following step by step on their website to try and navigate ford.com looking for my SYNC version and it's impossible to find. It only gives me options for it being on automatic updates. Very frustrating.
I can't wait for Scout to start making my next...
Where can I find what version of SYNC I have? I have a 21 and have never had the EV functionality of Google Maps in my car. It sure would be nice if it knew my battery levels.
