The 12v isn't dead. It's on a charger and shows it's between 50-75%. It's also a brand new battery from 6 months ago. I don't have any jumper cables so I won't be able to try that. The failed update was the recall OTA that started hitting our cars.

I don't see a QR code anywhere to link it with comma connect. I need to reset my device and install openpilot for the QR code to appear?
