Is everyone sure that even in N, applying the brake pedal is only using friction braking..? Is it possible that in N, gently applying brake pedal still uses regen braking first?
And that this use of regen braking is irrespective of 1-pedal or 2-pedal modes?
Forgive my ignorance, I'm not even...
Thanks for the tip!
But the charge port is pretty squeaky clean (it was already replaced earlier this year) and the only thing wrong with the J1772 (which was also replaced last year) is the hose covering comes off --a cosmetic issue that I tried to remediate, which is why it LOOKS rough. It...

Just a quick note to anyone who did downgrade their Google app to allow voice commands on Android Auto.
The latest update today to the Google app (14.34.23.29) restored voice command functionality for me in Android Auto.
For now.
Possibly AA as well but I was referring to the Google app itself for downgrading. Check out the Reddit thread I referenced, as users there have been successful with the workaround.
Bug's likely due to a software update to the Google app that's integrated into Android Auto.
Workaround is to downgrade (uninstall the latest updates... yes, possibly plural) to the Google app in Play and untick enable auto updates.
Unfortunately, it appears that only Google can solve their...
I already had my charge port replaced once (due to overheating, probably, as I observed that the hosel of my charger was damn hot right before the port failed).
The parallel between the HVBJB "fix" and the charge port "fix" is completely and unambiguously equivalent: a software bandaid that...
Fully concur with the shenanigans comment.
This "update" would seem to kill level 2 charging at greater than 32A for whoever has a charge port that can overheat... and that could be anyone from a tiny few owners to, well, everyone. (Sucks if you bought the fancy Ford charger that can do 48A...
Forgive me if this has been posted already, but aside from notifications, is there any way to tell if 4.2.6 (or its FDRS equivalents) has been installed by looking at 'About SYNC' in the vehicle?
Under a full moon, after sprinkling salt over my shoulder...and then doing the hokey-pokey all around the vehicle!
I heard clicks when I press the lock button, but it was when I shut the driver door that locks audibly engaged, plus the short honk of lock confirmation.
After failing to install after 10 tries, I took it to the dealership that I purchased it from. Told them the only precondition that possibly could cause 4.2.6 to fail installing was the failure of the 12v battery. They charged up the 12v battery, it passed their tests...and failed to install...
I know I'm asking for spoonfeeding here so it's making me cringe, but there's like a dozen car scanner apps on the Play store...
Do you have a recommendation for any specific app (like which one you use)?
Thanks!
4.2.6 has tried to install nearly a dozen times. Every everyday scenario imaginable. Plugged in to the home charger, not plugged in, driven for an hour beforehand, scheduled initiation, manual initiation... It always fails. Absolutely maddening.
Now I'm wondering if the fact that the charge...
Credit where credit is due.
My service advisor didn't bat an eye when I brought in the CSP-22B10 letter, and said reimbursement would take a week or two.
What I didn't like is that he took my original receipt (he did offer to copy it, but I imaged it already) for the key fob purchase.
At any...
