The car uses Bluetooth rssi and some other clever math to approximate phone location. What's likely happening is your phone's Bluetooth signal is increasing when you open the door in such a way that the car thinks the phone is getting closer.
Perhaps. And I'm not opposed to getting my hands dirty - I've modded the sh!t out of a couple cars in the past - but this is a lease and I have a toddler. Doesn't bother me enough to bother with it. I guess I'm not too surprised about OPs observation as my own has me rethinking Ford...
I have a bit of a harder "thunk" from the front when transitioning from reverse to drive, especially when accelerating quickly. My guess is the motor mounts aren't screwed in or seated all the way.
No one going to mention the copy/paste Gen AI prose? Can people not identify when a wall of text is ai generated?
I don't mind terribly if gen ai is used to write something, but I do mind if it's long and doesn't bring anything novel to the table.
I for one have done plenty of searches for A/S tire recommendations but it's always a case of, "yeah I have these and they're good."
Does anyone have objective reviews of tires? I know how tough it is to go from one worn set to another new set and filter out the noise (tire life, protective...
If I'm Ford I'm not changing plans. These types of things, especially from small startups, fail at expanding inference space. Small teams have a hard time with understanding broadly-defined environments and use cases. Especially when you introduce mass manufacturing variation.
I like the discussion of etiquette - cars releasing the plug and notifying passers-by that the car can be unplugged is a good standard practice.
I also love the idea of retrofitting streets for public charging. Physics will limit the viability of wireless charging and people in townhomes are a...
@Ford Motor Company just put the recirc button on the "home" screen below the HVAC drawer button. There are two buttons stacked one on top of the other on the other side of the volume knob so it's feasible to put two buttons on the right side.
If you have a touch screen, at a minimum it's your...
Bunch of stooges in this thread 😂
I got one month of BC over the Christmas and new years holiday and used it over ~500miles of short and medium distance trips. Well worth the roughly $8/hour for me. I'd buy another month if I ended up driving that much again.
Having said that, there's only a...
This car handles like the powertrain and ABS module engineers don't get along. All fine within the limits but sniff an emergency and it's horrifyingly unpredictable.
