It may depend upon the car’s residual value, but I’d say 90% chance totaled. That’s probably at least $20k damage even if it wasn’t structural.

I got t boned by a vehicle that ran a stop sign is my vehicle totalled or will it be repaired? Insurance is taking quite a bit of time and I’m worried.

Airbag deployments are VERY violent. I have no idea what current state of the art is, but my steering wheel air bag deployment (in concert with torso locking) in 2003 left a lasting impression for a couple weeks.
For that crash: way better than the outcomes in a non-airbag vehicle.
I thought airbag deployments were a default total loss.

Cars can be replaced, you can’t be. Take care of yourself first and foremost. See your doctor, get a rehab plan and deal with that first. Hand the accident over to the insurance company. Let them deal with that part, thats why you pay them.

That looks pretty bad as well. All of my airbags deployed and I couldn’t get out because the door was mangled. Someone had to use a knife to cut the airbag on the passenger side and help me out.Airbag deployments are VERY violent. S…t happens brother. The important thing is that you’re ok and were able to walk away from this. Hopefully once you settled with the insurance (if the payout is too low you can dispute it using current market data), you’ll be able to find the same vehicle, same color with less mileage that you had for about the same money.
