10 March:
Two more charging sessions at the same EA station (charger #02) in Naples mentioned twice above. Good news: P&C worked fine to start sessions both times. Bad news: you need to baby sit these things.

1. On the way up to Fort Myers I stopped in for a zap & dash as I wasn't sure I'd have quite enough to get back after meeting folks at the Fort Myers Brewing Company. P&C initiated fine, went inside Walmart, checked the app and it said it would be almost 2 hours to 80%. Went back out to the charger and found it had leveled off at 30kW. I ended the session, plugged it in again. It worked well, running right up to 110kW. Not spectacular but it would do.

2. On the way back to Marco I stopped in for a full 80% charge. P&C worked fine and ran right up to 150kW. After a few kWh the session abruptly ended. Again, I unplugged and reconnected. New session went right up to 150kW and followed the standard charging curve to 80% when I ended the session.
Thanks for sharing these charging inconveniences. P&C works great unless it isn't and isn't seems to be more often than not. I'm optimistic these frustrations will soon be a thing of the past after some additional refinements.

Did you notice whether the app shows if the charge session faulted out? If we do decide not to babysit the car during a session, and go into a store or restaurant, it would be good to be able to tell remotely if the session prematurely terminated so we can run back outside to restart it.

I had the same experience on one of my stops this past weekend. P&C worked on first try, but after walking to Wal-Mart I got the Fault alert. Unfortunately it took me quite a few tries on different stalls to get P&C working again after that.

I have a 2nd fob coming and have turned off PAAK altogether. Unfortunately, I may have to turn it back on, as it appears it's required in order to set up a 10-digit backup start code. I like having the extra "just in case" of a start code.
I do think if you delete a PaaK profile, the back-up code that goes with is also automatically deleted. I believe one solution is if you have an old phone that’s not used or a tablet that is never brought in your vehicle and use one of those to set up PaaK/create the back-up code. That way, PaaK would never be triggered from the phone you use day-to-day and you can still have a back-up code that can be used when your fob is not around.

And even if your old phone/tablet stops working or is sold, you can delete the PaaK profile directly through Ford Pass so you don’t need to worrying about keeping a working physical device.

I don’t think the lock is supposed to engage with L2 chargers. I wonder what was different about that Sema charger that made it engage.
There is something odd with normal L2 charger lock/unlock - thats why we get accidental unplu messages on FordPass even at home despite disconnecting slow; waiting for lights to stop; not pressing the lock unlock button or pressing the button /waiting for lights etc - its just random but something is not right
