I'm thrilled with results.... new wheels are an inch wider, 6.5# lighter, and the alloy nuts take off about 10oz more per wheel!

I finally got all the bits in house, and had a local tire shop slide the stock tires from my Select onto my new wheels. I figure I will run the OEM tires until worn out, and then go for nicer, wider, sticker summer tires. I'll put some nice Snow/Ice tires on the factory wheels for winter when it snows since I do hit the mountains for skiing, etc...

My goals in wheel selection were to stay at stock diameter, reduce weight as much as possible while sticking with a 700kg rated wheel, and hold the cost down as much as possible.... which means one-piece alloy, probably with pretty much straight 'spokes'. I found choices somewhat limited with correct bolt circle and offset; but decided on:

msrp $250ea -
18x8.5 Enkei TS-V, part number 522-885-3140 - 19.5#, 5x108bc, 40mm inset, 72.6 bore
I got mine from pattersonperformanceparts.com

note that OEM Select wheels are:
18x7.5 - 25.6#, 5x108bc, 63.4 bore

This means I also had to get
$14 + 72.6-63.4 centric rings :
.amazon.com/ZHTEAPR-Wheel-Centric-72-6mm-63-4mm/dp/B08L8VVDDW/ref=asc_df_B08L8VVDDW/?

$164 + valves+TPS+'activator' : .americanmuscle.com/search?keywords=389789

$55 + 14x1.5 lug nuts because factory nuts have a chrome cap that doesn't fit in Enkei holes : vmsracing.com

My winter setup is going to be 18" wheel / and 225/60/18. I picked out a set of Konig Hypergram wheels in a 18x8.5 they weight a light 17.85lbs and a set of Wintrac Pro winter tires that weight 27lbs. Mounted balanced with wheel weights and TPM sensors they will weight around 45lbs about 13.5 lbs per wheel less than my factory 19" wheels

Dealer just got in an infinite blue premium ER AWD that was cancelled. Said I was interested. Looks like this is happening for me today!
Post a picture when you get it. and check my post on extended warranty discounts if that's something you buy.

I lucked into a Mach E Infinite Blue Premium AWD ER with a light grey interior. Somebody cancelled! I got it for MSRP (No ADM) from Koons Silver Spring, MD (not affiliated with the Virginia or Baltimore Koons dealers btw). Billy Mensh is excellent sales person and gave me a heads up regarding it. So anybody in the DC area who is frustrated with the slimy Virginia ford dealers and their steep ADMs...you know where to go. All three Montgomery County dealers have been good, but Koons Silver Spring was hands down the most professional.

One day after I got my car, I had a previously planned road trip, and needed to charge fast before heading to Williamsburg, VA. I took my car to charge at the first service station in America to switch from gas pumps to only electric car chargers - fast chargers to be specific. The service station services both ICE and electric cars). This is RS Automotive in Takoma Park, MD. So this place is part of electric car history. Not far from my townhouse. Friendly guy, totally bought into electrics. Thinks its the future. This is my neighboring community, and there are lots of chargers in my area, so I don't feel bad about not having a charger in my townhome.

not as far as I can tell since 90% of my driving is around town. open spoke probably has very little measurable effect at low average speeds and stop and go.

I haven't re-tested acceleration, which would be more along my goals in reducing angular inertia with reduced rotating weight.

Lighter wheels help a lot in the start and stop situations. I too went to lighter wheels and lug nuts they are around 6.25lbs per wheel-tire lighter. However, I went to wider 245/50/19 all-season non-low rolling resistance tires. And after 3 road trips and about 2500 miles. Trips include Saint Paul to Chicago, Chicago to Green Bay then back to Saint Paul and Saint Paul to Sioux falls. I will say no difference in range. I would be taking the car up to Fargo tomorrow but the parking brake system is locked up and it won't drive. Car is in for service they gave me a loaner and on a humor note I got to stay in the infinity blue club

Parking brake issue? How/why? Have there been many others?

In my opinion the Infinite Blue Metallic color option is really exuberant and it is a perfect image fit for Mustang Mach-e ... I literally stumbled upon this beauty at one of the Ford dealership in southern NJ and I simply was stunned by its awesome beauty! PS: My first preference was the TriCoat White.
