Meet Redshift, my Premium RWD RR MME (so many acronyms!) standard range. I picked it up a couple of days ago at a small, rural dealership here in Central Arkansas. Apparently someone ordered it many months ago then moved out of town and ghosted the dealer sometime before it arrived. His loss, my luck! I kind of wanted white at first, but I am *so* glad I ended up with Rapid Red.

I've only had it for a couple of days and put a little over 60 miles on it, but man I really love driving this car! It's replacing my 2019 BMW i3s REx that's at the end of its lease. I enjoyed driving the i3, but the squirrely, choppy ride and the quirky passenger amenities started to get old. I briefly considered the i4, but...those...beaverteeth.....yikes.

This is definitely not a car for someone who wants to fly under the radar! There are a tiny handful of MMEs that have been sold here in AR so it's not something people are used to seeing. To me, it ticks so many boxes....practicality, aesthetic design, engaging drive...I mean I know I'm preaching to the choir.

She just got out of the tint shop so I need to get some new photos with her new shades.

Happy to join you all!

Beautiful, you're right about not flying under the radar...I love the Rapid Red, but was afraid it would be a cop magnet. Best of luck, enjoy your ride.

Well the last few months have been an interesting ride. In the fall I found out that a recent house addition had to be almost completely redone, which was going to involve suing the previous contractor and cost tens of thousands of dollars to fix. I was ridiculously fortunate that I had ordered at Tesla Model 3 back during the summer and hadn't canceled it, so when GMTV offered me an insane amount for my MME, I couldn't say no. Off it went in late October. I drove my old pickup around for a month and a half until the Model 3 came available in mid-December. I enjoyed driving that car, but both because we already have another Model 3 in my family and because I really missed the MME, lately I started looking around at available options and testing the waters with trade values.

The car market still being what it is, I got some very respectable trade and buy offers on the M3. I found a car at a dealer in Texas that was close to (but not exactly) MSRP. It was a far cry less of an ADM that I was seeing at other dealers. And they beat some of the buy offers I was receiving from Vroom, GMTV, Carvana etc. So on Saturday, I brought home Alabaster(?). The name is a work in progress.

I've missed driving an MME!

I would have ordered a Red Mach e if we didn't already have a Tesla Model Y and didn't want 2 reds in the garage.

Red is, you know, the fastest color;)

Normally I would agree with you.

But, after driving a red i3s for a couple of years, then having a red MME, then a red M3, I didn't mind going with a different color this time.

And that Space White is just so yummy, shifting to grayish in certain light and showing off the curves really well.
