Maybe.

a) They are renderings
b) We don't have the final GT vs GT-performance spec sheet
c) Having seen the GT in person, there is definitely a 3d pattern covered with acrylic that looks different depending on the amount and angle of light hitting it.

But it does have a pony with a glowing outline. I'm jealous!
I might agree if all we had was renderings. However, the pdf from Ford with the listing of Performance package's distinct features does list the "unique carbonized Gray Grill".

Chris Walter confirmed that these are real life photos, in case anyone was curious.

columwood When you say "rendered does that mean this is a photoshop?

orange will be an actual color available for the GT -this is not photoshopped :)

The picture in the brochure is silver rather than a grey, the grill on the cyber-orange above is the same as the grabber blue and is pretty grey, it is a similar shade as the active grill shutters which appear grey compared to the gloss black front splitter, the clear cover over the grill just makes it end up looking darker you can see the middle of the pony is black compared to the grill.

Of course won't know until we see final specs, it could be that the performance version just gets a quick coat of paint to make it look a bit different.

Besides, the picture in the brochure is clearly a rendering.

Yes, but my statement that the Performance will have a different grill isn’t based on the fact that “it looks different” in the rendering — it’s on the text that claims it will be a unique carbonized gray.
Whether it looks like the one in the pdf or not, hell if I know. I’m just saying that Ford has stated it will be different from the black GT grill.

New to this forum and I just reserved a Cyber Orange GT for next year. I know its a divisive color, but I've always been a big fan of the color orange and feel not enough manufacturers offer anything outside of blue, red and shades of gray.

Oh totally. Just pains me that the Cyber Orange is GT only. I'd have gone with a Cyber Orange First Edition if they offered it.

"Divisive"? Why?...looks too much like Trump?
