Ford Early Access + Electrify America: Complimentary BlueOval Electrify America Membership Invitation Email

Wait - does this come with free electrons? I thought it was just an offer to sign up for a subscription to the charging service at no cost?

Ford Early Access + Electrify America: Complimentary BlueOval Electrify America Membership Invitation Email

I still have 260-270 KWH left, so I doubt I’m targeted. It would be a mild PITA to use public charging anyway (I would though, if it would help Ford out).

SSM 50869 – Headlamps Turn On By Themselves When Vehicle Is Off – DTC B1533

Actually, I briefly thought about that - a few months ago, my dealer had an “abandoned” GT PE in grabber blue. I asked about the possibility of X-Plan and he came back and said “no dice” (tbh because they were listing it at something like MSRP+$5k). They are a profit-making enterprise, not a...

Wait - if I get a power meter, I can get a frunk button?! How do I get a power meter?

SSM 50869 – Headlamps Turn On By Themselves When Vehicle Is Off – DTC B1533

Maybe they could give us poor Job 1 people a remote frunk release hard button as a compromise. This way, they’d still only have one assembly 😀

SSM 50869 – Headlamps Turn On By Themselves When Vehicle Is Off – DTC B1533

Hopefully, they have a better team than the crack team developing the remote frunk release - that team is slower than me! 🙄

    Bluecruise quirkiness

Jack Welch is not really a good example. He was a con man, a scam artist, and a horrible leader who destroyed General Electric (and played a tiny role indirectly in the Great Recession). If the auto industry had proceeded the way General Electric under Welch did, there would be a couple of third...

    BlueCruise Easily Fooled

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Lane Centering Assist (LSA) are two different functions. Lane Keeping is more basic - it will apply a torque to the steering wheel to remind you to drive within your lane if it detects that the car is exiting the lane. Lane keeping assist provides a torque to the...

    BlueCruise Easily Fooled

The speed sign recognition system does certainly DOES recognize speed limit signs (I drive on roads with electronic variable speed limits).

    BlueCruise Easily Fooled

It’s not “self driving”, it’s advanced driving assistance. You are doing the right thing to be paying attention and resume hands-on driving at all times. I’m puzzled as to why you waited until the car was headed towards the Jersey barrier and the collision alert system was going off before you...

Looks like Ford is considering adding 12V connections near the cowl

I suppose that, theoretically, you could disassemble the doors, remove the electric actuators that latch and unlatch the doors from the door strike/post thing, replace all of it with mechanical actuators and a keyed lock cylinder, drill a hole in sheet metal for the lock cylinder, cut a hole in...

Fake news! I was misquoted! I never said anything about @RickMachE ’s holes! 😀😀😀

Looks like Ford is considering adding 12V connections near the cowl

I think you’re getting your Mustang Mach E holes confused. The hatch in the front bumper holds our jumper cables and Europe’s threaded receiver for an eyelet that can be used to tow the car. I don’t know how the European rear tow hitch works.

Looks like Ford is considering adding 12V connections near the cowl

The only way people can do that is if your 12V battery is dead. This has been documented many times.

68 pages? Can anyone honestly say they’ve been reading every post in this dumpster fire?

What if it were a classic style Mustang

I went wish unsure. I’m single and don’t care about “passenger” comfort. They don’t like it? Call an Uber 😀 It is my ONLY vehicle though so I need a modicum of “practicality”. The original game plan (pre Mustang Mach E) was to get a Corsair or a nautilus.
