GTPE got an update finally 2.8.2

My GTPE is at the detailer now but looking forward to seeing if anything pops up. Only gotten one OTA so far and it was BlueCruise maps.

    06/20/22 - GWM Job2 & OBCC Job1 & 2 Updates

Wait, there was an update that increased range on the GTs? Can I assume that will be coming OTA eventually or maybe bundled in with this incoming OTA?

For everyone saying the Mach E recalls are ridiculous...

    Soooo…not a software update?

PSA - Plug and Charge Failure Due to Balance Due

Not seeing any option to pay any outstanding balance. Under "Connected Services" it shows I'm enrolled in the Blue Oval network and have 175kWh remaining, all seems ok.

PSA - Plug and Charge Failure Due to Balance Due

Plug and Charge hasn't been working for me but I have a valid credit card on file with Ford. I have to activate the EA charger through FordPass to make use of my free kWh. Weird, not sure what's going on.

Ford Early Access + Electrify America: Complimentary BlueOval Electrify America Membership Invitation Email

I can't even get Plug and Charge to work on my Mach E! I have to activate the EA station every time through the FordPass app.

Safety Recall 22S41 - 2021-2022 Mach E - HVBJB Recall [high voltage battery main contactors may overheat]

What I’m curious about is if the GTs being built right now with the fix already in place will have any sort of limitation. Five second limitation or something additional, or nothing at all.

Safety Recall 22S41 - 2021-2022 Mach E - HVBJB Recall [high voltage battery main contactors may overheat]

Thank you for this, very informative. Even if this OTA doesn't result in a reduction of power in every day driving (or even somewhat spirited driving), it does not bode well for us GT owners getting the 5 second limit lifted, ever.

Safety Recall 22S41 - 2021-2022 Mach E - HVBJB Recall [high voltage battery main contactors may overheat]

Interesting...then would that confirm this is a software update and not something hardware? Even for GTs? And then going along that line of thinking...seems like we'll be getting throttled acceleration even more. *Sad trombone*

Safety Recall 22S41 - 2021-2022 Mach E - HVBJB Recall [high voltage battery main contactors may overheat]

Oh like the real news, not a blog. This is an actual publication Jim Farley may see while perusing the morning news. Good. The more light shed on this issue, the better it will be handled...hopefully. And no, I'm not saying Farley doesn't know this recall is happening, I'm saying it in a...

Safety Recall 22S41 - 2021-2022 Mach E - HVBJB Recall [high voltage battery main contactors may overheat]

This is true, we don't know how many people are working on this issue, but them saying "Q3" for this fix (or even just more info) instead of narrowing it down to less than 3 whole months isn't confidence inspiring.

Stop Safely Now (HVBJB): Mach-E Owners Biggest Fear - Facts and Info Thread

All-in-all this is a big bummer. Half the fun of driving this car is the acceleration. Now I'm going to be babying it for the next couple of months while waiting for recall notice, dealership appointment, and parts coming in. I'm a Mach E fan through and through but this really is a damper on...

Safety Recall 22S41 - 2021-2022 Mach E - HVBJB Recall [high voltage battery main contactors may overheat]

I know software fixes can take time, but in this case, on a problem that affects possibly every Mach E sold, you'd *think* Mr. Farley would "break glass in case of emergency" and have a couple of engineers and software developers working rotating overnight/24 hour shifts to get this done and...

I want OTA updates for my GT

Well, since you're all asking...it WOULD be nice to get the revised 80%+ charging curve as an OTA update. I don't want to play with Forscan and don't want a dealer touching my car and possibly bricking it with an 8 hour update.

    Best road trip charging strategy

Wasn't a huge trip, headed to PA, about 750 miles round trip. On the way out there I stopped twice to be safe, with probably 35% the first time and 15% the second time charging. But on the way back I took a shorter route and opted to charge only once, got down to probably 15% and charged to 75%...

    Best road trip charging strategy

Well the road trip was a success. Great car for long hauls. BlueCruise is fantastic. No issues charging, would like a better curve though, like the Lightning’s. Only downer of the trip? Having an Ioniq 5 pull in to an EA station after I started charging, seeing them zoom past my state of...

    Best road trip charging strategy

I would like the revised charging curve but don't know if I want the dealer messing with software stuff right now, heard some less-than-positive stories. An OTA would be great!

    Best road trip charging strategy

Thanks and yeah, seems like that is the way to go. Going deeper into the battery pack for less stops will lead to just more time charging since the curve isn't all that great. The Lightning, on the other hand, seems to hold 150kw for much longer.

FORD MOBILE CHARGER IS NOT MEANT FOR DAILY USE!!!

Except Ford ships it with a bracket to mount it to the wall. Doesn't seem so mobile.

    Best road trip charging strategy

Heading on my first longer trip in the Mach E and had a question about charging strategy. I was wondering if getting super low on the battery and then charging at a fast charger (at hopefully 150kw before ramping down) is the right move, or should I do more frequent stops at a higher state of...
