I'm not following..is the idea of this so you can leave a key in your car, incase you need it if PAAK is not working? If that's the case -- wouldn't this just allow a thief to break into your car window and then steal your car?

Would you feel comfortable providing a copy of this? My dealer is telling me the APR is time of sale, not order, so getting as much documentation as possible to help.

Yeah mine just came in, but I got an email from ford saying my car won’t be ready just yet to “ensure complete satisfaction” and the delivery date was pushed back to july6-july12

Honestly...I don't trust the dealers to know anything. I think we have more knowledge collectively as a forum than they do on the issue, due to the individuals with NDA's from FMC who have now confirmed more information since the recall notice went out. My dealer made a comment that they hope...

other forum posts are suggesting that the fix is possibly going to be as early as August. Ford estimated timing tho… i spoke with my dealer and they also confirmed the issue. The vehicle in transit will still arrive at the dealer. Once it arrives, my dealer has agreed to call me to let me...

Same. here was my update - I was supposed to get the car this week. It's in my town.

My Extended Range AWD Premium MME is on the recall list according to Ford Chat. It just got into town, so now it'll sit in their lots for days..weeks...months (take your pick).

Sad day for me... Ford Chat: I am confirming that Recall 22S41 is shown for your provided VIN. In the affected vehicles, it is possible that the high voltage battery main contactors may overheat, which can result in an open contactor or welding condition. Should the contactors weld closed...

Considering it says "Affected vehicles are identified in OASIS and FSA VIN Lists." - Does this sound like dealers should know which in transit vehicles are impacted already?

The build dates say May 27, 2020 through May 24, 2022 ... Do you mean if it was built before may 24th?

I'm also intrigued if this is the case for all MME's or if this is specific VIN's. The post below makes it seem to me that it may not be every vehicle, and then maybe there's hope for no further delay of the coming delivery...*shrugs* **sorry for cross-posting**
