When they replaced
When they replace my HVBJB they noted they pressure tested the battery assembly after repairs. I would guess that requires a special tool, but not sure.
Your dealer allowed you to cancel your order but they did not cancel the order with Ford because they want to be able to sell that car when it arrives. Your name and contact info is still attached to that order and that is why you are getting the updates from Ford. Once the car arrives at the...
I did not check to see if the A/C was working or not because once I had the stop safely message I shut everything off to save the 12v power that was needed to turn on the accessory mode so I could use the screen to engage tow mode (which basically allows the car to be put into neutral even...
I was extremely lucky as when mine bricked engineering apparently had just come out with the updated part. Engineering found out about my case and sent out a field engineer with the new part and "updated software". I never really got details about what software was updated, but I was just...
I had the HVBJB fail. When it does, the accessories will still work but the car will not go into gear and you will have the stop safely message on the display. When it failed I knew (thanks to this forum) that I needed to preserve the 12v battery power so that when the tow truck arrived I...
I don’t think that is entirely true. If it is a Ford dealer they would not be able to sell it, but I believe any other retailer can. Just look at places like Carmax who have a couple available currently.
As you may know, I had the HVBJB failure last month. My repair took 10 days, which based on other cases seemed extremely fast. Given that the failure occurred on the 12th, I would say you are looking at least until the 22nd before the car is repaired. However, given the current environment of...
That is a very good question. I would reach out to Ford directly for that answer. I know for some manufactures the warranty on a USA sold car is only good in the USA. At the very least I am sure there would need to be some "special approvals" that would have to be made if the car broke down...
You will want to get Ford Corporate involved in your case. The can IM them here using the Ford Motor Company account here. They might even reach out/respond to this thread once they see it.
With the time it took me to read this thread I can now go back to the recall threads where I am sure there have been several more posts in the last few minutes 🤣
I wouldn't read too much into running it right now since I have a feeling ALL Mach E VINs for the US were added to the stop sale and it will not be until the official recall notice is generated to owners that the actual VINs that are affected will be known.
Must stop hitting refresh. Must stop hitting refresh. Must stop hitting refresh.
Oh, hell, I just hit refresh again…. I am guilty as sin….
Must keep recharging the cell phone battery….
